Q: Is this TSA lock approved by us TSA administration?

The model is TSA 007, Yes it is approved by USA TSA administration.

Q: will it withstand house fire and keep my docs intact? Should I put it into bonfire to check?

The case may not burn, but without any insulation the temperature inside will rise and papers will char. At 451°F papers will burn, even if the case is intact. That applies to all cases. If the outside temperature is just terribly hot but under 300F your papers probably will survive.

Q: How wide/long is the opening on the largest bag?

The zipper opening measures just under 15 inches and opens wide enough to slide files inside of it.

Q: My tsa lock will not open, what can i do?

Thanks for asking. There is a tiny button on the top right half of the lock, push down with a pen until it clicks, set your combination, then push the triangular button on the bottom right to pop the tiny button back out. And you can just search internet how to open TSA lock and you will find lots of video guiding you how to do it. Due to restriction, i cannot post the link here. Thanks for understanding.
