The Angel Trials (The Complete Series): Dark World

Another amazing series by Michelle Madow that I absolutely could NOT put down! There was so much adventure and magic and well written that I felt like I was with each character every step of the way.

Totally worth your time if you're addicted to fantasy and dangerous magical adventures. I finished this series in a few days due to not being able to put it down!

I bought and read the whole series as a package deal and was very entertained. Nice character back stories, and enough characters and angst to keep me reading on and on. The ending was totally worth it!

My friend let me read the Vampire Wish but had the Faerie Games not the Angel Trial, so I bought it for her, she is letting me read the series and it's now complete. Great storyline.

I grabbed this on a whim and don’t regret it at all! Such a great box set with loads of different POVs and build up. Not spicy and that didn’t deter from anything. There definitely was some steam and build up but the plot keeps you entranced.

Once I started reading these books, I didn't want to stop but we do need our beauty sleep. Highly recommend that you read all of the books in this series. The characters are believable and relatable... If you believe. Heck, just try them because they're fun!

I really enjoyed this series. The first book in the series was the only one that I was lukewarm on. I would have given it 3.5 stars overall, but I found the story to be intriguing enough that I wanted to continue reading the series. I am very pleased that I continued reading. I loved books 2 and 3, and I enjoyed the rest of the series as well. I decided to leave a review because I was a bit frustrated to learn that the "Dark World: the Vampire Wish" series precedes this one. I wish that the author would have included a note in the opening of all of her books listing the order in which readers should read each of her book series. I've seen other authors do this; and I have always been grateful. Although I still really enjoyed both of these book series, I would have enjoyed them more if I had read them in the correct sequence. Since I read this series first, I already knew what was going to happen in the Vampire Wish series. It took away a lot of the suspense. In an effort to help other readers avoid my mistake, I want to let readers know that the Angel Trials series is, more or less, a continuation of the Vampire Wish series. You will enjoy the books more if you read them in the correct sequence!! Also, the Fairy Games series takes place at the conclusion of the Angel Trials series. I have not yet read that series, but I have to assume that it would give away some of the major storylines in the other series if you read this one out of sequence as well.

I read the entire set and the only negative for me is that it ended too abruptly. Another chapter or two to wrap things up would have been great. But overall, it was a good read.

Ich verspreche den eigentlichen Inhalt nicht zu spoilern, auch wenn ich ganz minimale generelle Kritik übe.Das Buch ist echt gut geschrieben. Die Geschichte ist spannend, interessant und nimmt einen echt mit. Die Serie ist absolut empfehlenswert, auch wenn es ein paar inhaltliche Unstimmigkeiten gibt (z.B.: erst heißt es bei der Beerdigung senden die Hexen den Körper ins Jenseits, um ihn mit der Seele zu vereinen und dann senden die Hexen auf einmal die Seele ins Jenseits und es kommt ein paar mal vor, dass etwas bespochen wird und ein paar Bücher später ist es eine neue Information und einige sind davon "überrascht". Zwischen verschiedenen Büchern einer Reihe Details zu vergessen ist eine Sache, aber innerhalb von 10 Seiten von etwa Seite 515 bis Seite 525 im Set etwas zu vergessen, ist eine ganz andere Hausnummer finde ich. Und es wird keine Erklärung dafür geliefert, weshalb es nicht so aussieht als wären Noah und Raven immer wieder vergesslich, sondern dass die Autorin vergesslich ist und keiner alle Bücher in einem Rutsch gelesen hat.).Die Serie hat weiterhin ein paar unvorhergesehene Wendungen, verschiedene POV ‘s, was ich persönlich liebe und trotz der paar geringfügigen Stolpersteine, die ich beschrieben habe und gemeldet habe, fand ich es gut. Daher habe ich dafür keinen Stern abgezogen.Diese Reihe hat aber definitiv ein offenes Ende und ist nicht beendet, auch wenn ein paar Charaktere ihre persönlichen Ziele erreicht haben und neue Charaktere ins Spiel gekommen sind. Wie bei einer Fernsehserie war dies Staffel 2 und es geht weiter. Vermutlich noch mit mindestens 2 weiteren Buchreihen. 😁👍

I really enjoyed the series and I fell in love with all the characters. Now I am sorry I read the series out of order, since I already bought the vampire pack, but I should had read that one first. Oh well! In any case I also have the Fae Games and I am ready to read it too! One more thing I would have enjoyed is having a small glimpse at Sage and Thomas dyad and relationship, they were my favorite couple, even more than the main couple LOL Definitely a nice saga for magic and fantasy lovers.

An exciting read with an interesting take on supernatural creatures as well as Avalon and its society and structure. The romance was great, it's not overdone or the main focus but there's just enough to want you to root for the couple's. The storyline is well thought out, with a good balance of action, adventure, suspense and intrigue, and keeps you hooked throughout. I struggled to put this down and became a bit of a hermit whilst reading as I just had to keep going. It becomes sort of predictable at times and then suddenly something unexpected happens which later in the books makes you question your predictions. I found that refreshing and quite enjoyed when I was right in my predictions but then more thrilled when I was wrong because it definitely keeps you addicted. Overall it's a great supernatural book with a romance element that's just right and not over the top. Perfect for younger teens just venturing into more adult themes without being graphic and any adult that enjoys a good read that doesn't rely on sex as the selling point. Highly recommend. Can't wait for the next series.

It was my 1st with Michelle & I loved the complete series of Angel Trials... lots of mystique, magic, adventure, action, twists n turns to keep one hooked... the romance was short though & it could have been given some time whether it was Raven n Noah or Sage n Thomas or Annika n Jacen... nevertheless a great read... Cheers!

Such an interesting story regarding the angel trials and how the Queen of swords came about. I loved reading the story, characters and Michelle’s version of how the supernatural world emerged. I loved reading the many different characters and their stories so much that I felt that I was walking beside them during their journey and adventures
