Whiskey Glass, Gift Set of 2 in Twin Carton

I bought this set mainly for sipping my bourbons (though I've begun to shift to rum a bit), and they’re exactly what I was hoping for. The Glencairn shape really does make a difference by concentrating the aroma, which enhances the overall tasting experience. The glasses feel solid in the hand without being too heavy. The size is perfect for neat pours or small tastings, and the narrow opening helps keep spills to a minimum. The glass itself is clear and well-made, with no imperfections. They also came packaged nicely in the twin carton, making them easy to give as a gift. Overall, this is a great set for anyone who enjoys whiskey or bourbon. Simple, elegant, and functional without being flashy.

While whiskey is the key beverage to enjoy out of these fine works of art, I've found that they're also great for port wines and stouts. And I'm sure there are many other types of drink that are great to enjoy from this glass which I haven't tried yet. Don't hesitate to buy two though, you will probably break one. But then you will know where the breaking point is, and are much less likely to break another one. They are fragile, but not especially so for the design. The glass is fine. It IS the perfect thickness/thinness all around. Nice bottom weight, thin top. Well-balanced. I can't stand any type of glass that's too thin OR too thick at the cusp. You might think "why aren't all glasses super thick so that they're more durable? Especially glasses specifically designed for ALCOHOL - a beverage known to cause instability and clumsiness!" So you go and buy thick glasses, which are thick all the way through the cusp... only to realize they seriously change the way the beverage tastes - almost always for the worse. When a glass is too thick at the top - at the cusp - it's uncanny how much it simplifies the beverage into a monotonous flavor and consistency. You do want a thinner glass at the top - but not too thin either, to where it almost cuts into your lips when you drink! The Glencairn hits the perfect balance here. Remarkable glass. I did unfortunately break one, so I will be buying another pair. I recommend buying a set of 4 now that I've tried them and know how good they are, but it was nice to have the option to buy just two so I could see if they were for me before I made the investment in stocking up on 4 total. You will need some kind of thin "wand" to thoroughly clean these with - it is a narrow cusp to fit any scrubbing tool through, and the fine beverages you'll be enjoying from this glass deserve to be poured into a glass that's been cleaned to a like-new level. Above all, it is such an affordable price. One of those rare times when truly unabbreviated high-class elegance is affordable for everyone. That is probably the best part of all of this. I wish I'd bought these years ago.

These Whiskey Glasses are perfect for bourbon drinkers who like to smell the many characteristics of their drink and see the legs of a great whiskey or cognac. My only complaint is that I wish these glasses where ticker and heavier

I did not know the following information until I looked it up: A tulip-shaped glass traps volatile aromas, directs them straight to your nose, and concentrates flavors. Its wide bottom aerates the liquid while the narrow, flared rim directs the flow to your palate. This makes it ideal for highly aromatic drinks like craft beer, whisky, and sparkling wine. The narrow rim softens ethanol vapors. I was highly pleased when I found all these things to be true. I treated$ myself to a Macallan 12, and my first nosing and tasting from the Glencairn glass was lovely. Don Julio 1942 was surprisingly good to sip from the Glencairn glass as well, even though I usually prefer this tequila in a shot with customary salt and lime. I am so pleased with my purchase of Glencairn glasses, and I do recommend them. Additionally, I wash all delicate glassware by hand, always.

I never write reviews without using/testing the product for a few months, BUT... These just arrived this evening and I'm excited. They're BEAUTIFUL, heft wonderfully in hand, and are VERY thoughtfully shaped. They'll be put to use tomorrow evening.

J'ai bien reçu le colis

Bu bardağı tanıyana kadar viskiden tam anlamıyla keyif alamadan, sıradan bir içkiymis gibi içmişim onu, bu bardakla içtikten sonra bunu çok net anladım. Ya altı üstü bir bardak değil mi, ne farkeder ki? diye düşünülebilir, hatta ben de öyle düşünüyordum. Ama içince bütün bu tabular yıkılıyor. Viskinin bütün aromasını bardağı ağzınıza götürüp, henüz daha yudumlamadan bile alıyorsunuz zaten. Dilim döndüğünce anlatmaya çalıştım ama anlatılmaz yaşanır diyorum. Şiddetle viski tutkunlarına tavsiye ederim.
