Compatible Francotyp Postalia T1000 / Optimail Red Fluorescent Cassettes (3 Per Box) Replaces OEM Part # 51.0019.5301.00

I bought this product because it came up as compatible with the Optimail 30 postage meter. However, it is not. It is the exact same cartridge, except it does not come with a micro chip on the back like the name brand does. Therefore, my meter will not accept it. I am giving it a two stars because if you are clever like me you can remove the chip from the old cartridge and place it on this one. The only thing is the meter recognizes it as the old cartridge and keeps telling me the ribbon ink will run out soon, so we will see how long it lasts. If it continues to last until it has run out, I will change the stars, because these cartridges are so much more economical than name brand, but if not, then I guess that's what I get for not getting name brand. I will update and let everyone know if my trick works...

Prompt delivery and good product

This product actually prints more clearly than cartridges by Franco Postalia and the cost is less than half. Have use these for a long time and would never go back to the original manufacturer product.

These do not work because they do not have a chip. Do not buy these.

Of the 6 ribbons I purchased, 3 are not recognized by the machine, thus I can not use them. Not a very compatible ribbon apparently.

This is way cheaper and its just as good

They fit the machine just fine, but the meter doesn't identify them as being valid ribbons and won't proceed. Returned immediately.
