The Best Upgrade For Your LCR
Tools You Will Need For Install -- Roll Pin Punch Set- Rubber MalletThis sight is extremely rugged and well built and a huge improvement over the stock sight. Installation is extremely simple. Make sure you use a roll pin punch or you will likely mushroom the pin and be unable to remove it. Roll pin punch sets can be had for very little money here on Amazon. The kit comes with a sight, pin and blue loctite. To remove the pin unload the firearm, and swing out out the cylinder crane. This will allow you to lay a revolver flat on a table. Use the roll pin punch and rubber mallet (I always use a rubber mallet so a slip does not damage the gun) and drive the pin out. Wiggle the sight and lift it up off of its post. To install new sight add a small amount of the loctite into the sight and place on sight post. Use roll pin punch to drive the new pin in so that it is level on both sides. Wipe away any loctite that has gotten on the barrel. You’re done! The stock sight on this revolver is great for daytime shooting but at night or in the dark you will not be able to see anything. Adding a night sight is the easiest way to make your LCR a reliable 24 hour a day carry.

XS sights are a great addition to the LCR
Installation: The only thing slightly difficult was removal of factory sights. Once I realized you need to pull up on the sights and forget about wiggling them side to side, they came right off. There is a tenon that you could break if you push or pull to the side too hard, but I think you'd have to whack it pretty hard to do that. Installing the XS sights was a breeze. Putting the pin back in was just a little tricky, because it is so small and has to be tapped in to get it started. Having someone else hold the pin in place while you tap it in woud proabably help. It comes with Blue Loc-Tite or something similar. The other XS sights I've used comes with the Red Loc-Tite.The sights themselves are great. They do not cause trouble with holstering. I have a Crimson Trace grips on this pistol which are dead on. The sights lined up perfectly with the laser with no adjusting. Firing without the laser activated, the sights were dead on as well. I found that aim was just right if you place the center of the front dot between the top of the rear sight channel.A plus is the tritium night sight.

XS Std Tritium Dot Sight for Ruger LCR 22
* This is a very, very good sight. I have had one on my LCR 38 for some time now* I put in on a Ruger LCR 22 not being sure that it would fit properly* If you order this Sight for the LCR 22, beware that you may have to do some "smithing" to get it to fit* I put the same sight on the LCR 38 and it was fine without modification* The LCR 22 barrel Tenon seems to be slightly different sized and I had to take a small amount of material / metal off of the bottom of the sight and the Tenon to get it to fit* I used an Donegan OptiVISOR 2x, a vise to secure the revolver, the punch supplied with the sight, an Arkansas stone and a more coarse whetstone, and 52 gauge and 53 gauge drill bits ( ENKAY 10 piece Mini Hex Shank Drill Bit Set No.548 sizes 51-60) I ordered off the Internet)* Once I got the sight to the right height with the Stones, I needed to drill a hole through the existing holes (in the sight and Tenon) to very slightly enlarge those channels / holes in order to get the new Pin to go in If you try to get the Pin through the existing holes, you may find they are too small / tight - the drill bits work great* I bevelled the Pin (again using the stone) on the end that I inserted into the sight and Tenon holes this allows the pin to flow through the channel / hole with less resistance.* I have found that investing in the visor, vise, Arkansas stone and drill bits has made home gunsmithing a whole lot easier. If you've not used a Magnifying Visor before, you will be amazed at how much it helps !Bottom Line - Great sight for the LCR 22 - but it doesn't fit right out of the package

Not sure it’s worth the steep price, but overall a decent night sight
Easy to install, once I got the stock sight off it took me less than 10 minutes and I’m no gunsmith.I used a 1/16 punch and some electrical tape (over the barrel for protection in case of slip) Install suggestions- 1) use the original pin from the stock sight, as the one that comes with the XS sight is too large. 2) Tap the pin in as far as you can BEFORE placing the new sight onto the barrel. This keeps you from having to hold the pin in place while also trying to tap it in with the punch. Overall it’s a decent sight, does glow in the dark nicely. I do think it’s a bit pricey for being one single front sight and not a complete front/rear set. It also sits quite high on the barrel but did not seem to affect accuracy.

Much Improved Sight
This site is a big upgrade over the stock sight. Be aware that you will have a different sight picture than the stock sight. The sight part of the installation was easy. Removing the stock sight was NOT. Roll pin came out easily, but the installation video shows the old sight coming off with just a little pressure. This was not the case. I destroyed the sight trying to pop it off with a variety's of ever increasing sized pliers. Finally put the sight in my bench vise, grabbed the grip of the gun and wiggled and it finally came off.Love the new sight, but hated taking the old one off.

Will work fine on a 22LR
I have read that this will change the POA for the 22LR and I do believe it does a little I was shooting mine about 2 to 3 inches high with the factory sights and now I'm shooting pretty much dead on so a win for me. No modifications needed fits the 22 as good as the 357 inwitch I have as well. Took me less than 15 min to install maybe because I have done it before quick tip shoot a couple cylinders through it before removing to heat up any factory locktite and the front sight just pulls right off. Over really like the sight and if it changes your POA just learn how the gun shoots and you will be good to go.
