The Price of Tomorrow: Why Deflation is the Key to an Abundant Future [Booth, Jeff] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Price of Tomorrow: Why Deflation is the Key to an Abundant Future Review: Incredible original thought masterpiece! - In "The Price of Tomorrow," Jeff Booth delivers a compelling and thought-provoking analysis of our current economic system and the challenges we face as technology advances at an exponential pace. Booth argues that our current economic model, which relies on infinite growth and an ever-expanding money supply, is unsustainable in the face of technological progress and the deflationary pressures it creates. What sets this book apart is Booth's ability to blend economic theory with real-world examples and anecdotes. He illustrates his arguments with examples from industries such as transportation, healthcare, and education, showing how technology is disrupting traditional business models and challenging the status quo. He also explores the potential consequences of this disruption, both positive and negative, and offers ideas for how we can adapt and thrive in this new paradigm. Despite the weightiness of the subject matter, Booth's writing is accessible and engaging. He avoids jargon and technical language, making his ideas easy to understand and apply. He also infuses his writing with a sense of optimism and possibility, showing how we can harness technology to create a more prosperous and equitable future for all. Overall, "The Price of Tomorrow" is a must-read for anyone interested in the intersection of technology and economics. Booth's insights and ideas are both prescient and inspiring, and his book is sure to spark important conversations and debates about the future of our economy and society. Review: So nice - reading it twice - Reading it for the 2nd time a year later. Great insight for 2019 - impressive.

Eye opening
Great perspective on the evolution of technology and society. I would have liked if it had practical advise instead of staying on the philosophical level.

DEFLATION THE KEY TO OUR FUTURE!
This book is an excellent resource if you’re interested in understanding the current state of the economy and exploring potential solutions. Infinite deflation is considered the key to our future, and the author advocates for transitioning away from the current system and adopting the Bitcoin protocol.

Incredible book that describes the headwinds leading to the Covid Crisis of 2020 and a way out
This is a true tour de force! Anyone trying to make sense of the technological and economic changes of the last 20 years must read this book. It is a fairly quick read highlighting how 21st century technology is a deflationary force that drives to bring prices down and displace jobs, while our age-old economic engine runs on inflation and the need for asset prices to continually grow. In moments of crisis, such as the 2008 financial crisis and the 2020 Covid Crisis, we witness the government step in and violate true capitalism, by printing money and propping up businesses and individuals that would otherwise become insolvent. In doing so, we are perpetually "kicking the can" down the road for what can only become a greater meltdown in the future. He offers the beginnings of a solution in universal basic income and our need to embrace technology's deflationary force for a brighter and more abundant tomorrow with less economic inequality and the freedom for more meaningful lives.

Great Hypothesis; Could Have B
First 1/3 is the insightful; last 2/3 feels a bit redundant. It's a quick read. Could have been an article.

MUST READ!
The Price of Tomorrow is a must read for anyone interested in our collective future. A thought provoking look at the impact of exponential growth in technology on our outdated economic systems. Jeff Booth explains complicated issues in a way that is both informative and easy to understand. He pulls together seemingly unrelated trends in today’s world and shows how they are inter-related and how they may impact our future. The Price of Tomorrow is a warning and a call to action. Yet, Jeff leaves the reader with the possibility of a bright, abundant future provided that we are able to adapt to the changes that technology will bring. My hope is that this book starts a global conversation that will put us on the path to that abundant future.

Worth the read.
The book was worth the $10 Kendall price and I am glad i read it. It’s obvious that the author is a technology person and has little experience with manufacturing or other fields which require normal inputs such as labor or raw materials. The author makes the case that technology is deflationary. This is true. However, i have never seen where value added technology products are deflationary. New apple phones always go up in price. New vehicle prices have exploded in price for as long as i can remember. Computer power per unit is exponentially cheaper but overall costs for manufacturing or services continues to increase in price. Central banks across the globe are drastically expanding fiscal stimulus resulting in an explosion of debt. I agree with the author that the amount of stimulus and debt required for the GDP produced is a problem. In my opinion, the reality is that economies across the world will implode when central banks choose a path of austerity compared to debt expansion. Sooner or later the debt expansion cycle will come to an end and the world will be a scarier place when that happens. The author makes this point very well.
