K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air Filter, Increase Performance & Acceleration: Compatible with 2011-2023 CHRYSLER/DODGE, 300, 300C, Challenger, Charger, 63-1564

Bought this for my Dodge Challenger SXT Plus. I was able to install it myself. I noticed about a .2 increase in miles per gallon as well as a little bit more responsive driving experience. The sound difference was small, maybe about 1DB louder, but you do get that nice little whistle when you're accelerating sometimes (although I thought I wouldn't, I actually like that sound now). It also makes the engine bay look better in my opinion. With the slight increases in MPG, performance, and change in the sound, it was worth it for me.

Awesome add on! I finally pulled the trigger and purchased this great cold air intake for my 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus. It took me about thirty minutes to install. Probably because I downloaded the instructions while waiting on my two day shipping. (Don't hate, I was excited) Very easy install, all parts were correct and the instructions could be better thought out but you get the idea. Starting my car for the first time after install, I noticed a little bit of a deeper rumble from the exhaust. Not a huge change, but a change indeed. I drove down the street and started to hear the shallow whine a lot of people say they hear when shifting gears. After a day or two, it went away. (Or I tune it out) I continued on and punched the gas. A much deeper exhaust roar came out! Mostly between 4,000 and 6,000 rpms. Also, a deep roar from the engine. This intake really makes it sound more like a V8. Key word MORE. Still a big difference between the two. There is a definite pep in the acceleration too. I've taken about a full second off my 0-60 time. In the five days since the install, I have noticed better gas mileage on the highway. Now I'm seeing 28-31mpg. I was at 25-28 mpg. I drive a lot. I probably shouldn't have a challenger with the miles I put on it, but I love this car. Spend the money and buy this intake. You will not regret it.

Improved my MPG by 10-20% depending on how much I stay out of the loud pedal (20 MPG improved to 22-24 MPG), and if you do choose to push the loud pedal you are rewarded with a nice, loud noise, especially above 4,000 RPM on a Dodge Charger with the 3.6L Pentastar. Normal driving nets you no additional noise, which is great for cruising since there is no drone. Throttle response is ever so slightly improved and the engine runs more smoothly. Why Dodge doesn't do something like this from the factory is a mystery to me. Why wouldn't you want increased MPG, smoother revving, better throttle response, and a louder noise from your 300 HP muscle car? Instructions weren't super clear and fitment was a bit tight in places, but it does go on without too much effort. Two heads are better than one in this regard; have a buddy help you. Mine had the appropriate hole drilled for the air sensor unlike some others. Go ahead and cut the zip tie that holds that bunch of wires together to make it easier to insert the sensor into the tube, and then retie the wires after you've got it fitted.

Excellent addition to my sons 2021 Challenger. Added a little horsepower and from our records, has added an additional 3 mpg. on the highway, the city miles have been the same to this point. Also added a deeper sound to the car. You definitely notice a little more pickup during acceleration. You can never go wrong with K&N and this time was no different. K&N cold air intakes are on all of my cars.

Tube collapsed near the throttle body, disappointed. K&N is THE name brand for air intakes, yet this is the quality they're putting out. Theres ZERO reinforcement along the opening and the plastic isn't sturdy enough on its own. I dont have any other performance mods on my charger and its the 3.6L, I liked the sound when accelerating with this installed and felt like it did make a difference but now im looking into other brands unless K&N reaches out.

Likes: - This intake is a direct fit compared to the stock intake for the 3.6L VVT engine, whether it be for the Chrysler 300 or your Dodge Charger or other vehicles that use the engine. - It uses high temp. resistant poly plastics that are lightweight and high flow. - HUGE conical inlet and filter. - Comes with everything you need for installation. - Once installed, You definitely feel the difference, and it sounds great under the hood. Dislikes: - Some of the grommets are pretty tight, making sensor placement a pain. (not a huge issue) - Kinda wish the build was made of metal, also a minor complaint. - You may need a second person to help you with some parts of the install. (I am weak) Overall, this is a fantastic cold air intake and should be a perfect upgrade to your vehicle. Not only do you feel the difference, but you see the difference too: > It matches the engine bay > Increases mileage by about 3 mpg > Makes your car sound great under the hood. If you have an aftermarket exhaust, it will also sound better by increasing airflow.

First things first a quick description. I have a 2012 Challenger SXT Plus with the SS package. I have removed the engine cover and as much of the foam around the engine as possible. I prefer the look and sound of the naked engine. So the car was already a little louder than stock. Having said that, the new CAI definitely makes the car louder, especially when you hit the gas. I noticed better throttle response in the lower ranges in both normal and sport mode. It really comes alive past 3000rpm though. I made a few quick passes with the throttle wide open and although the intake whine was audible, it was quickly overcome by the sound of the engine and exhaust. As good as the stock air box is (same as the R/T and SRT8), this CAI is an improvement. I also noticed a slight increase in MPG. There was some initial fluctuation in the average MPG as the ECU was trying to compensate, but after a few minutes it seemed to iron itself out. Also the intake tube is plastic, I was not aware of this prior to ordering. It is a very thick and sturdy plastic so I am not worried at all. I was just under the impression it was powder coated steel. on the bright side, this should make it easier to paint. Installation was basically easy once I understood which parts were being discussed in the description. Here is a few tips that I learned from the installation: - The air flow sensor is very fragile and tricky to remove. Take a close look at it while it is in the stock tube. There is a piece of plastic that sticks out to the side on the sensor. Gently but firmly give it a quarter turn counter clockwise. It should pull freely after that. - The cable that attaches to the air flow sensor is already a little taught in the stock configuration. The new placement is a little farther away and you will need to find some slack. I had to "mold" (read bend the crap out of) the plastic clip that is holding the wires in place to get it to fit. - Put the basic pieces together and do not tighten any of the hardware until an approximate fit is made. I found that the intake tube did not fully line up with the throttle body at first and needed a little finesse to get it in place. I found it was easier to have the rubber sleeve attached to the intake tube first instead of the throttle body. - Also measure the crankcase breather tube and cut it to fit. They supply a tube that is too long. - The kit I purchased came with a dry filter (I am assuming since it didnt come with any oil). I dont remember seeing any description. - Also the bolts are not uniform so be prepared to use multiple sockets. That is all I have at the moment. I am glad I went with this one over the polished intake. It just seems to fit the look of the engine compartment better in my opinion. The added 1 HP was also a bonus.

Definitely worth. I had exhaust work done prior to install but my engine still sounded basic. I love the roar this cold air intake gives my set up. I can feel a degree of performance gains as well. The fit was a bit different but parts came together well after some trial and error.
