Sharper Image Motion Activated Candy Dispenser

I love this product. I received my order in two days and in excellent condition. This motion activated candy dispenser allows you to store candy and automatically defense candy in a clean uncontaminated manner.

When I purchase this, I thought that I would be able to use put peanut M&Ms in it for dispensing. I was very very disappointed when we received it, and found that peanut M&Ms don't work. You can only use skittles, or regular M&Ms. The other thing that I didn't like about it is that the motion detector is not easy to find. I can't tell you how many people put their hand up to get a few pieces, and nothing happened. I would have to give lessons to most people on their first try. Even after knowing how to trigger the motion detector, it still had issues. I would not recommend, too expensive for the product you get.

I ordered this same item before and it worked perfectly. When I moved to another office, I left that one, and ordered another one for the new office. When it arrived I put batteries and it did not work. I changed the batteries thinking, well …. it was the batteries ... still nothing. I plugged in a power supply (that I had to take from something else because it did not come with one); it worked once, and did not work again. This is disappointing as the first one I had worked to well. I will be returning it for a refund.

Received a red candy dispenser not black. All photos are of a black one giving the impression that is what you will get and the price higher than other options who make clear you will receive a red or color may vary. Also, have mixed nuts in mine and it dispenses every 2 or 3rd try. Not very reliable. It is made of a hardy plastic not metal or resin. It looks well made. Not the highest quality but good. Still not worth the $47. I paid.

I bought this for dispensing candy (peanut M&M's) on my office desk and it works OK. Good concept but the automatic feed design should be improved by strengthening the drive mechanism and making it adjustable for different items dispensed.

I like that it works—dispenses candy.

Does'nt seem to react to the motion sensor, Does not perform as listed.

I bought one as a gift. It never worked. The light on the sensor would blink sometimes, but the motor never spun. I returned it and got another. When we put the batteries in, we could smell burning electrical components.Two dead on arrival. The manufacturer has serious quality control problems. I will be trying a different kind of dispenser, but this particular model is just plain junk.
