Sounds weird, right? But it's true. Sometimes I need to get up under the dash of a customer's car and some 1k candlepower light can wash out everything and temporarily blind you. Sometimes you need something that is bright enough to illuminate what you need to see, but not overpoweringly bright. Plus, the incandescent bulb is just easier on the eyes. Dont expect this to replace your general purpose light, but there are times when it is the right tool for the job.

This MAGLITE flashlight is amazing! It only takes 2 C batteries, and its bright beam reaches as far into the darkness as I can see. It has an adjustable beam focus, but it's not the kind that you turn on by twisting the end; it has an on/off button-type switch. The bulb is the incandescent kind, not a blue-looking LED (The LED MAGLITEs consume less power and are great for searching for things on the ground in the dark, but this kind seems to project its beam farther, so it's good for use on the campground or the shooting range, and in missing person searches). It isn't terribly heavy for a metal flashlight, but yet it is extremely sturdy.I would recommend for anyone that wants a full-sized flashlight, buy this one. But remember that it is just that: a full-sized flashlight. If you want a compact one that you can carry in your pocket, you will want a smaller one, such as the 2 AA model, but remember that the smaller ones are generally not as powerful. As long as it's a MAGLITE, you will not be disappointed.

I have bought over 10 for my family and i just ordered some more. the first time i bought them for my dad because he goes hunting with his friends and he said they work really good and are not that heavy for him to carry. mag lite is one of the best flashlights in my opinion. I have one of these flashlights in each of my cars as well as in my house I use them when I go camping and stuff like that they last a while and are really lighter than other flashlights and they are quite bright. My dad always buys mag lites since I was little but they don't sell them in Home Depot or lowes anymore we had been looking and finally found them on amazon and for a good price I suggest you buy them. Really good last a while and I have dropped them and they haven't broken they also come with an extra lightbulb in the bottom which is good.

We have two of these flashlights, and keep one in each car.The size fits comfortably in the hand plus it's a little shorter than the 2 D cell Maglite. The weight is also a very nice feature, in that it you could hold it in one position much longer than you could a flashlight that might be just a few ounces more in weight(say a 2 or 3 D cell Maglite).The beam of light it produces is very good for a 2 C cell battery powered flashlight. In fact the beam of light that it puts out isn't that far from the 2 D cell Maglite, and with the LED upgrade there shouldn't be any difference between it and a 2 D LED Maglite. But I'm just guessing here since they would both 3 watt LED flashlights.Anyway it really is a great flashlight and believe that they'll out last me;)

Wanted the reliability and simplicity of an on/off button like my trusty Maglite LED 2-cell 'D' but in a smaller 'C' frame. But Maglite does not offer a 2-cell 'C' LED w simple on/off button, that I know of.So I purchased w intent to install an aftermarket LED bulb, but this wasn't so easy... The LED bulb did not readily fit and my torch retaining collar required a small modification. This effort did make this torch brighter but not as bright as my smaller Maglite LED ML25 2-cell 'C' twist on/off torch.At the end of this costly, time-consuming experiment I concluded: It would have been best to have purchased more trusty on/off push-button 2-cell 'D' LED Maglites.k

I am very pleased with this flashlight! I specifically searched for one that is incandescent, not LED because I want the warmer bulb glow (not bluish). It is not lightweight, it's made extremely well and is the perfect size for me. Exactly what I needed!! I'm already putting it to good use with my night photography projects. Thank you, Maglite.

When it comes to Flashlights Maglite is the way to go. Name recognition, quality product, fine craftsmanship, and dependable. It's a must have household item. And after the numerous Hurricanes in 2017 a go to light source is extremely important. It's simple to set up and use. It has an adjustable beam which is a nice feature and it made of Air-Craft aluminum which means that rust won't be an issue how ever long you own it. I'd definitely recommend to friends and family alike.

Die Stablampe ist zweifelsohne super, wie man es von Maglite kennt. Wer eine LED-Lampe möchte, der muss sich eben ausdrücklich eine bestellen oder ganz bewusst dieses Modell hier als Umrüst-Grundlage wählen, wie ich es angesichts des Aktionspreises von 16.- anstatt der Maglite-UVP von 43,95 € machte (hatte mir extern noch ein Systart-Modul bestellt - Helligkeit, Lichtmenge und Batterielaufzeit nehmen bei Verwendung eines 1-W-Moduls sehr erheblich zu). Dies hier ist das klassische Glühlampenmodell, jedoch mit der Besonderheit, dass Xenon-Birnen der II. Generation (Bi-Pin) verbaut sind. Insofern stimmt die Angabe "Krypton" im Beschreibungstext nicht. Diese Xenon-Birne ist etwas heller als die Standard-Krypton-Birne. Achtung, wer in dieser Maglite alte Kryptonbirnen oder moderne LED-Module verwenden will, muss sich einen alten Überwurfring besorgen oder den neuen (enthaltenen) mit einem 10-mm-Bohrer aufbohren. Der Ring in dieser Xenon-Version hat nämlich eine kleinere Bohrung und geht nur über die neue und alte (!) Maglite-Xenonbirne (also auch über die frühere Magnumstar, nicht jedoch über die etwas bauchigere Krypton-White-Star und ggf. nicht über LED-Module). Alle Klarheiten beseitigt? ;-) Bei Fragen: fragen.

Possiedo gia una vecchia Mag-lite 2D e quindi quando ho visto questa a questo prezzo non potevo farmela sfuggire oltretutto questo modello mi sembra il compromesso perfetto tra qualità e ingombro essendo meno " muscolosa" della sorella maggiore senza contare che si può facilmente fare un upgrade aquistando uno dei tanti kit led in rete che ne incrementano la luminosità. Non accenno alla robustezza della torcia perché mi sembra superfluo. Spedizione Amazon velocissima.Testata la luminosità che ovviamente non è paragonabile a quella a Led ma è comunque più ché buona per un uso normale oltretutto come tutte le Maglite di questa taglia ha anche una lampadina di ricambio nello stelo. In conclusione un prodotto sicuramente da consigliare.

Maglite ist die Königsklasse. Seit Jahren verwenden wir alle Größen.Dieses Modell ist auffällig leicht. Die Größe ist perfekt für meine Gassi Tasche.Sie wurde trotz Standardversand, blitzschnell geliefert.Nur ein kleiner Haken. Ich dachte, ich würde sie in silber bekommen.Mir ist das eigentlich gleich. Ob silber ob schwarz, leuchten tun se beide, nicht wahr.Ich hab die 2C-Cell sofort bei Maglite registriert, jetzt brauch ich noch ErdölGelee für die Pflege und dann sehe ich einer langen Freundschaft entgegen. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert für jeden, dem das LED Licht nicht so gut gefällt. Super!

I previously had the older model of this unit. The lamp now used (Xenon), is not as good as the one used previously.It provides a greater throw of light but is less effective in Fog or Misty weather conditions.Other then that, for everyday use, this is a great product.

Tolle Lampe, super verarbeitet, wasserdicht aber mit dem vorhandenen Leuchtmittel nicht so hell wie erwartet, da bin ich von MagLites anderes gewohnt. Eventuell wird es mit dem LED-Kit besser, deshalb erst einmal kein "würde ich wieder kaufen"
