I will never have a round roll without a bale buddy on it again. This thing saves me so much in waste. It's a pain to put it on the bale, much easier with 2 people. I have to replace mine every 2-3 seasons just due to the horses tearing on it all day every day, but it's worth the price, I promise!

This definitely slowed the consumption and waste, however it was necessary to make repairs after about four months. Just repaired several large holes again using parachute cord which seems to work the best. Overall good purchase and would buy again.

Waste of money
After several years with our old netting the holes were getting rather large and numerous so we decided to 'upgrade' to a more expensive net. Big mistake. After just two bales there were as many holes as our old net after two years. We bought two of them so that is $500 just totally wasted. I don't know what the solution is or if anyone makes a produce that truly lasts - at least for a while. If anyone has had a better experience with something else I would love to hear about it.

Well made but, difficult to use.
The bale buddy is a great idea and the "net" is well made. The plastic "stick" with screw on end for closing the bag is very time consuming and a pain in the butt to use. I ended up attaching a nylon cord woven through the opening (just like a regular liar hay net).
