Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Deluxe 20 [PC Download]

I tried to istall the CD version, it did not work. I ordered the online version for windows 10 voila it worked and as usual, this software is the best I remember for its cost and function.

I had this product when it was in CD format. This product is as good as the CD. I plan to return to work in Social Work and it requires a lot of writing and documentation, so I wanted to get my typing speed back up to 50 WPM. Within two days at the library my speed was up to 45 WPM. Due to COVID 19, the hours and computer use are restricted. I therefore purchased this product. The first thing I did was change my typing speed goal from 50 to 100 WPM.

Did not like the fact that when I tried to register the product, it wasn't easy. Never could register the product. Now I'm looking to cancel the order and can't even do that. This is the second time that I am displeased with ordering from Amazon. Ordered a chest freezer and sandals and never received them and they never gave me my money back. Beware of the people taking advantage of you during this pandemic. They are also taking your money by any means necessary.

I like the fact that I can download Mavis Beacon on each of the childrens computers so that everyone can practice at the same time. I was worried that I would have to purchase if for all three of my kids and I did not want to invest that kind of money into it. Also, I like the challenges that Mavis Beacon presents. I have used it myself to brush up on my typing speed and I have had so much fun with it! Thanks Mavis! I gave it four stars for functionality.

You can't beat Mavis Beacon. As home schoolers, we've used Mavis for a long time. We tried a couple other one's along the way, but those were all mistakes. Mavis is the way to go.

Great program! I learned to type through a typewriter but continued to improve with Mavis Beacon. Now 13 years later my daughter gets to learn and improve her typing skills. Great program. Still a little outdated but overall great.

I was expecting a more modern, updated version. It looks just like the really old version I had for Windows 95. The program apparently has been updated to run on Windows 10 but it's very low resolution, maybe 800 x 600 and takes over my screen. I can't use my other monitor without minimizing. That being said, it runs well and the lessons and games are fun. It's working well to help me get accustomed to this new ergonomic keyboard.
