Dislike And So frustrated. This pen is a liability and dangerous to dogs. - my dogs toes slipped through the bottom grate and he broke 2 toes... He is in a cast 8-10 weeks. Weekly cast change, medicated and has pain. This is designed for small dogs. Bottom panel should be much smaller space between - already the broken toes have cost me upwards of $1,000. Do not buy this dog pen.

We had a litter of 9 labs. This thing was a life saver. Well worth the $. We used newspaper and puppy pads and it worked out great. Excellent product. Only con is sometimes waste does get caught on the grate, but it's a minor inconvenience compared to alternative puppy pens!

This is a fantastic crate for puppy's that allows them to not be sitting on the floor. It's a good size so they can have half for bedding and the other half for using the restroom. The only flaw is that it can scratch wood floors. This is easily fixable by using any "Rubber Fuel Hose" that has an inner diameter or "ID" of 1/4" and cutting into about one inch pieces. This can be bought on amazon or a big box store. I also used furniture pads for the crate pan on the bottom.

The wire flooring is problematic. The wire flooring instead of side by side folds into each other which by yourself is impossible to assemble. The wire flooring becomes like a trampoline after awhile with lightweight pups (10#).The gauge of the pen wire is less dense than previous models.The floor pans have a piece that fits over the pans that in theory would keep things from falling in between the pans...yet to easily clean negates this.We had to use twist ties to hold top on.

I have been breeding puppies for some time now, and never had any method work to keep the puppies clean while weaning. I've tried the pine shavings in a baby pool, the puppy pads (which they love to tear up), butcher paper...you name it. Nothing kept the little darlings clean until I found this absolutely wonderful contraption. It was amazingly easy to put together, and nothing was broken or damaged like some of the reviews claimed. I opted to use puppy pads on the bottom pans, and it's sheer heaven to simply slide them out, throw away the old used pads and replace with clean fresh ones. The shelf rises or lowers, and I love the various options for accessing them. My favorite is to leave the top flopped open as they are too small to climb up over it, then I just move them about or play with them. I added a great Midwest snap on crate water dish (largest size) and a snap on travel lickit water bottle plus took a smaller whelping pad, folded it into fourths and placed it in a corner for a sleeping puppy pile. I've ordered some smaller washable crate pads to stick in one corner to replace the whelping pad. Threw in a ball, my granddaughter's toy plastic cup, and a soft workman's glove so they can play tug-of-war, and this is one happy group of pups. Best of all, no mess. I also keep a roll of paper towels handy to quickly dispense of the loose poos and push them through before hasty paws make an imprint. Now when I have visitors, there are no smelly puppies to deal with. Just love this unit and bought a second smaller size for the back of the car on delivery day. Could not be happier! Highly recommend this for breeders! I will update down the road.Update: I purchased this item over a year ago. There's a lot to like when it's made properly, but also some issues related to dangers that I need to add, and recently I purchased a couple more small pens for transporting and the quality and condition of the pens were definitely poor with door latches crooked, not matching up and making it nearly impossible to open and close along with the grate having terrible spacing of either too wide or too small allowing more problems for small paws to get stuck. My biggest complaint is nearly losing three puppies to strangulation. If you do not literally and tightly latch the top lid down, puppies can climb or jump high enough to pop the lid up and get their heads stuck and choke to death. This has happened 3 times within seconds as I turned my back to grab water to fill their dishes. Not good! Additionally, twice I have had puppies get their jaws locked between the spaces on the sides of the cages. So....if you are not going to use a baby monitor with visual and sound (which is what I use) I highly recommend that you don't use these cages if you are not monitoring them 24/7. Due to these issues, I would NOT recommend them beyond using for transport. Instead I would go with a playpen yard layout and stick with the baby playpens that are hard plastic and safe for puppies with less risk of strangulation or teeth getting stuck in the sides. Plastic is much more forgiving on a puppy's gnawing teeth than metal any day and can make all the difference between breaking a jaw or tooth. I now use the hasps to lock down the top lids as even hooking them over will not prevent a curious pup from finding a way to pop them off, try to climb out and get their heads stuck between the two overlapping lids. Very dangerous, and for that reason, I won't be buying more for my kennels. Adding the poor quality of the two I just purchased for transport is another reason why this item is no longer on my favorites list, and they are not cheap! I paid well over $321 for the large when I first purchased it.

Works great! Gives my little rat terrier pup plenty of room while I'm at work and the grate at the bottom helps keep her area clean until I get home! Easy to setup and transport. Durable and easy to clean. I highly recommend the bowls that bolt on as well, they're affordable and very high quality (and keep your pup from spilling the contents!).I'm deducting one star because some of the edges are not filed down enough and can easily cut your fingers/hands. I've repeatedly closed the latches and gotten a nice little cut that annoyed me all day. A little scratch wouldn't bother me but I've gotten a few slices that really burned when I'd touch anything for a few days. I suggest getting a small file and finding/removing all the sharp edges when you first set it up so you or your dog don't get hurt.That said, it's a bit heavier duty than slightly cheaper crates and with the grate on the bottom it's a fantastic value for a crate that will keep your pup clean and last a long time! It's very sturdy and gives my little pup plenty of room!

I love this puppy playpen. I have several of them and am very pleased with the quality and fast delivery of the item. My only complaint was the the plastic tray on the bottom was cracked and the corner broken off. I didn't contact the company.. because I figured it would be a hassle... Didn't unpack it for several days after it arrived and didn't want to go through the red tape to correct the problem. The irony of the whole thing.. was that I purchased this one.. because my old playpen had a broken tray and I could have replaced the tray.. but decided to get a whole new playpen. The price of the trays is kinda high.. and I thought I could use another playpen for our pups. Other than that.. I love the the pen.. and have had them for years .. been very pleased.

the lid leaves a gap big enough for a puppy to get strangled which is what happened with a puppy here, she climbed up the side and got her head stuck between. Lucky i was home and saved her.

This playpen is the best of all the pens I ever had. It's well made, very solid, HUGE and so practical I don't know what I would do without it. My puppies have so much room to play and it keeps them safe from outside dangers. I hope they won't stop making them. I wish they would be less expensive though.

Excellent for raising a puppy- however this is the second time I have received with damaged plastic trays .... packing has to improve for shipping!!!!!!! The trays are what makes this unit so useful 😞

I bought 3 of those playpens and they are so well built and so usefull that I don't know what I would do without them. Love Love Love that product.

Quality is very good. The cage wire is plastic coated and no sharp edges. Sturdy enough to handle my bouncing Manchesters at 22lb. The tray fits snugly and is easy to remove to change out pads. Excellent investment.
