Superb supplement. Get wise! Wife-recommended and selected !
Such a high quality supplement for wiser man (the young unwise men often don't take any vitamins) with good support for prostate health added, and not too unnecessarily megadosey like some supplements. Good price. These are capsules; husband does fine swallowing them. It's wonderful that they contain 2,000 units of vitamin D3 a day. Senior women vitamins do not usually include Vitamin D3 that much, so it's something to pay attention to if you need vitamin D3 (spend lots of time indoors). Be sure not to add Vitamin D3 in addition unless your doctor instructs it. You will need to take four a day, so he takes two with breakfast and two with dinner. There is no iron in this; which is correct for seniors; get iron from your diet only after 50.

Started Buying These For My Husband As The Brand He Was Using Changed!
My husband has been battling melanoma for about two years now and he was advised to start taking a daily vitamin supplement to help with his infusions and keep his mineral levels up and his other required daily intake of vitamins up to help keep him as healthy as possible. His oncologist recommended taking a vitamin that was high in certain supplements and found one that he recommended. The infusions caused him to be tired, have less energy and other things that the Keytruda would deplete and he would need to restore the balance to prevent feeling sluggish.. He was taking a daily vitamin supplement that was made by a company called Carlyle and initially noticed that the vitamin made him feel better than before he started taking them. Then he started looking at the label and realized that it was not consistent in ingredients. The price dropped and being the curious person my husband is, he started to investigate why they dropped the price of the supplement. For example purposes only, the original few bottles may have had 200% of the daily required amount of Vitamin C and it dropped to 30%. He then got an older bottle and compared it with a new bottle we had just ordered and almost every supplement was cut in half or lower. Some were even eliminated completely. He was very upset about this because we had been buying a supplement that he liked and wasn’t expensive. He also had been saying that he was feeling tired and not having enough energy to do as much lately just a couple of weeks before discovering he had been taking less of the supplements that he needed to feel like himself. I started buying this brand because it was similar to the original brand that he was taking that was made by Carlyle for men 50+ after he noticed that it had been reformulated and that the vitamins he had bought the brand for had been cut out or down to half or more for some reason. Garden of life has been in the news for selling their company to Nestlé products in 2017. Some have said it’s a scam, but I don’t think it’s true. People worried that the product would suffer from the sale of the company because of the number of brands that Nestlé owns and the size of the company. However the company has not changed the original formulation of this product and it is still the highest rated brand of multivitamin according to many experts and his oncologist. The product still has the following quality control as it did when it was made by the original company. They are very transparent about their products and quality and they will refund you if you feel like it is not working properly. I noticed that after a few days of him taking the new product, the Garden of Life multivitamin for men 50+, he seemed to have his energy back and he was doing more around the house than he had ever done before. The formulation is the same as it originally was and it has the following certifications that very few vitamins have obtained. I listed them below. •USDA certified organic •NSF Certified for Sport •Informed Choice •Vegan •Some products are NSF certified gluten-free • non-GMO • certified kosher The price of the vitamin is more expensive than the one he was taking, but after he discovered that the Carlyle vitamin was not sufficient for his needs and they changed the formula without telling anyone about the change, he decided to buy a better quality brand of daily vitamin. The original Carlyle vitamin he was taking cut out some of the supplements and reduced the amount of the vitamins he was taking and he finally figured out why he started to feel tired and not as good as he did before Carlyle changed the formulation of their vitamin. In my opinion, it is fraudulent to change the formula and not tell the public why! My guess is the price of the supplements increased and they just reduced or cut the ingredient out to make more money!

Easier to take but takes more pills per day than the multi-40
I have been recently using Garden of Life Men’s multi 40 plus multivitamin after switching from long time use of Centrum because I wanted to go with vitamins that are more naturally derived as opposed to Centrum’s more synthetically created version. Unfortunately, the Garden of life multi 40 plus have recently become hard to find for some reason or another, which I presume is either a supply shortage or they are possibly discontinuing. Code 50 is from the same makers as GOL and like GOL, Code 50 is third party tested, which at least gives me some assurances that what they say is in the vitamin is actually in there. These are capsules which are easier to take that the GOL, but I personally didn’t mind the slightly larger GOL vitamins. The GOL also had a pleasant taste to me, whereas these just take like any capsule. One of the big differences is these require 4 pills a day meaning, this 240-pill supply doesn’t last as long as you think, versus the GOL which was 2 pills a day. According to the label, these include a organic fruit/vegetable blend, probiotics and antioxidants, which is fairly similar to the GOL multi 40, except in some differing amounts. I am not sure why they couldn’t get the formulation to 2 a day like the multi 40, unless they were looking to cut the size of the pills. These seem to be ok as far as vitamins go, and I have not had any ill effects from taking these either, but I personally like the GOL vitamins slightly better. I don’t expect miracles from my vitamins, so I have realistic expectations of supplementing my shortages (which is Vitamin D) and helping provide essential things for my health as I get older, so these will do for the time being until the GOL becomes more available. Like the GOL and other brands, these are a bit expensive in my opinion as opposed to some cheaper brands, including Centrum. These are not synthetic though, which I like. 4 stars
