Mophorn Compact Router 1.25HP With Fixed Base, Plunge Base and Tilt Base, Variable Speed Wood Router Kit Max Torque 30,000RPM For Woodworking & Furniture Manufacturing

I purchased this trim router kit as an alternative to buying a plunge base for my Colt router. (For just a few dollars more I got the entire kit). Shipping was fast and I was excited to get it. I opened the package and powered it up and......was underwhelmed that at speeds 1 (10000 rpm's) I could stop the collet from turning with hand pressure alone. I found an unboxing video on YouTube and found this is not uncommon. I decided not to return it because, for my use, I wouldn't use low speeds anyway, and if, on the rare occasion I did, I could use my Colt. Smaller bits need to spin at higher speeds anyway, although I'm a little wary of the low speed issue, it's not enough to return it. The fixed base has a smooth depth adjustment, and so far no, no issues holding the depth settings. It feels comfortable in my hands. I haven't used the angle base as of yet. I really like the plunge base which is smooth in its plunge action. It comes with the rail base that you can attach to the included edge guide. The rubber handles feel comfortable in my hands. It comes with dust collection attachments. It has the 3 depth turrent stops for incremental plunging. All the bells and whistles of larger plunge routers. Only minor complaint about the plunge base is the scale is in metric, with no imperial markings. Not a deal breaker.I knocked off the one star for the speed issue. Only time will tell if it will last, but all in all, it feels like good quality for a great price.

I got this kit because the accessories work with the Makita compact router and this whole kit was cheaper then 1 Makita router base. The router motor itself is what you would expect out a cheep router. Good for light use and small jobs.

Dislike that it doesn’t have a mini work light but all in all,,, satisfied

Design is very nice and well thought out, accessories work nicely. Even accepts standard router guides unlike Bosch. The reason I knocked off one star is it starts to get warm using a very small roundover bit for a short time, as others have said, I'm concerned that it could get hot with longer use, we'll see. We all need to realize that this router is not made for use with large bits, use the right tool for the job.

This thing is the worst thing anybody could spend her hard earned money on . I was wondering why they sent it with two magnets in the box. Trust and believe you will use those the first couple of times you use this machine

Really liked the size and weight of the unit. easy to use. Seems to have enough power for the projects i use it on. Have not used it enough yet to find anything I do not like about it. A carrying case would of been nice to store the parts.

What a great set up. Bought it for the angle attachment and to have another router at work. Very happy with the plunge attachment...didnt really care about the plunge until I received it. Its really nice! The guide is something I dont usually use either but this one is really cool and I will most likely when using the plunge! Thank you so much for putting this set up together...worth every penny! Amazon got it to me in good time considering it was Christmas week! Love ordering from Amazon!
