We've had this product for a year and it's still working well. We don't use the Sim card to view video because the quality isn't that great (pixelated images, glitches, delayed movement..etc.) and the location of the card slot is awkward and its hard to set the time/date. However, the movement of the LEDs help light areas at night when someone walks down our alley. The lights and movement are good deterrents, which is basically what we use the unit for now. This is a hard wired unit, don't expect to plug in batteries and go.

The best
This is absolutely the best light, and I have many. It follows you with the flood light and really scares people, I have people ask me about it all the time as it tracks them around the yard. Neat.

Disappointed
Had for two years and now it’s not working. Don’t waste your money. Go with Ring instead.

Waste of money.
Pros:It looks cool and the neighborhood kids have fun running around, while the slow delay motion sensors try and catch back up with them.Cons:Camera stops in only 3 positions. Left, center and right. If you're in the middle of any of the 3 sections the camera will keep moving back and forth continuously. With only 3 positions, there's large blindspots in between sections...unless the camera is going back and forth to each section. At night, even with the spot light... The video is very grainy and can barely make out anything past maybe 10-15 feet. I tried acting like a would-be burglar and I'm sure police would have a hard time making out my face with this low quality camera. The mounting hardware the camera came with is garbage. Had to buy better hardware at Lowe's to mount this camera.I have 100's of videos of every car in the neighborhood driving by... However, with the low quality at night... I can't make out what type of car is passing by. And I get every single bug flying by or landing on the camera lens.Honestly...I wouldn't recommend this to my friends. I'm sure there are similar better cameras out there.Don't waste your money with this product.

it solves the problem for the most part. It ...
it solves the problem for the most part. It does have 2 blind spots that the camera can only see when its rotating the picture. There is no way to turn down the sensitivity. So the leaves on trees will activate the camera. People walking their dogs or cars driving by at a far off distance are still being picked up. The LED is extremely bright. Night video is graining but still viewable.

So far, so good...
For our needs, it's great. It's mounted under the eaves on our rear deck, so it's protected from direct exposure to the sun and rain/snow. Someone mentioned the mounting hardware is "junk", but it's actually the standardized mounting for outdoor porch lights. When I took the screws out of the old porch light fixture, which is 25 years old, the brackets were exactly the same as the ones in this kit. All I had to do was use the correct holes in the bracket to line up with the holes in the Versonel body and it took about ten minutes tops to get this thing mounted and operational. It took a few tries to program the clock, and my failure to properly follow the directions was the reason. You have to remember to press the button on the bottom to pause the motor, otherwise it will keep swiveling back and forth while you try to set the clock or other functions. Initially a red light that indicates there is a problem with the SD card was lit, and the instructions had said "The SD card has already been installed" but I found the reason for the red light was because the card was not snapped in place, it had only been slipped into the slot. As soon as I pressed it into place, the green light came on. The video portion is not that critical for us as we already have robotic security cameras all over the place, but this serves as a backup of sorts. The "barking dog" sound is kinda cheesy but the function of this device so far has been good. I tested it several times, we have a stairway leading up to the deck, and if I even peeked my head around the side of the house, the light came on and swiveled right at me, and as advertised, followed my movements. If you slide open the deck door from inside the house, it comes on and swivels towards the door instantly. Time will tell if it holds up to the harsh northern climate (as far as temperatures) but first impressions are positive. The wind chime we have hanging nearby so far has not set off any false alarms. Since we have a separate floodlight for the deck, using the existing porch light fixture for the Versonel was fine for us, however make note that you cannot keep this light on for more than a few minutes at a time, so if you replace an existing porch light with this device, you give up having a light on as long as you have the wall switch turned on. I also put a "switch lock" on the wall switch so nobody accidentally cuts the power to this device. Just something to remember if you plan to mount this in place of an existing fixture.
