The Collar adds 2 inches
Overall, I like how it gives my dog more visibility to his surroundings, but measuring from the neck to the snout, as they say in the product description, they fail to mention that is then the length of just the plastic. There’s another two inches of collar! While thy say the second measurement is the most important, they don’t tell you the final product/size is going to be that plus two inches. I ordered the Medium +, and it fits my dog like a radar dish! Not good.

Wrong size
I returned because I got the wrong size. I’ve had this before in the correct size and it’s great. The collar part is comfortable.

Well made product, near perfect with but a few small negatives for some uses.
It took a while after purchasing this before I used it, as I was getting the last little bit of use out of the old one first, so this review is late in coming, but it's written after a few months of actual use. This E-collar is made of sturdy plastic, and doesn't crack easily like some do. Despite my measuring ahead of time, it is kinda long, from neck to the outer edge of the cone. I'm using it to keep a cat with a skin allergy problem from kick scratching himself bloody, not to keep him from chewing himself, so he has to be in it when we're sleeping, or unable to keep an eye on him. This requires him to be able to eat and drink with it on, and it's nearly too long for that. I turned the inner cushioned collar part in, so it shortens the length a bit, which allows him to eat and drink, but it wasn't easy to make it fold in, and its even harder to get it to stay there. The outer fabric ring is completely unnecessary, and quickly started to unravel where it's sewed, and come loose. It's still attached, but getting worse daily, will probably be fine when I finally pull it off, it doesn't actually do anything anyway, other than collect cat food, cat sand, and water. Also the outer edge part where it snaps together should have the two snaps on the outside mounted in a short slot, so that the middle snap can center it, and one or both of the outer two can "float" to where they need to go in order to allow the snapped part to actually curve. As it is made now, the area of the cone that snaps together stays flat as a board, while the rest of the cone curves around the circumference properly, which means one area, where the snaps are, is always rubbing the animals face somewhere. NOTE, if you are using this for a cat, be sure and snap the cone together with the solid shiny part of the snaps on the outside of the cone... the plastic is rough on the outside this way, and if you do it opposite, so the rough side of the plastic is inside the cone, you will constantly hear RASP, RASP, RASP, RASP, RASP, RASP RASP, RASP, RASP, RASP as your cat licks the rough inside of the cone trying to wash itself, while, with the smooth side on the inside you will be rewarded with blissful quiet when they wash it.I gave this collar 4 stars because it's so close to being great Overall it's a good product which needs a little bit of improvement to be a great one. Eliminate the outer cloth edge, slot the two outer snap holes, and make the inner collar less stiff, so that it will stay tucked inside if needed, and this would be the best one on the market!

Great with some simple modifications
I have a 10lb pound Yorky and needed something comfortable, flexible and long enough to actually work.I got the Medium long size and with some modifications, I got exactly what I needed. Here's how to do it:- Cut the fabric collar off completely, it's useless anyway.- Hold the cone around your dog's neck to measure the desired length, mark and cut the excess.- Stick some heavy duty velcro to each end of the cone (see pictures for reference). I don't use the metal snap fasteners, they are inconvenient, break eventually and scare the crap out of my dog every time they snap.

Too small
Ordered this for an adult cat and it’s much too small, would choke her. It would fit a kitten. If you have an adult cat I’d suggest you size up. The neck lining it very soft though!

WOrks very well
We had to get this for our dog because he would not stop digging at his ears. His ears are much better.
