110 Piece Metric and SAE Standard Tap and Die Bearing Steel Titanium Tools Set Amazing Tour

Compact set, good value

My husband needed a Metric and SAE Standard Tap and Die Bearing Steel Titanium Tools Set. He asked for Titanium due to he did not want them to rust and he needed Metric and standard sizes. So I started looking so many got this due to the pricing and that is what he wanted. We got it in just 2 days due to Amazon Prime member. He loves it just what he wanted everything had it's own place in the carry case.

I knew that I was probably going to be somewhat dissatisfied with the general quality of these tools. Upon receiving them, they LOOKED pretty decent at a glance, but I could see without even touching them that they were going to be sketchy at best. DO NOT think this BIG set will give you added versatility. None of it works well. You're better off going to your local Ace and picking up a little mini tap/die set for the same price. That still won't be perfect, but it'll at least work halfway decent.I give these wo stars only because you COULD use these to chase messed up threads, but don't expect them to perform even that task well. I found they were either over or under-sized for standard nuts and bolts I had on-hand. This will be the FIRST product I'll be looking to return from Amazon, EVER - I otherwise acknowledge that I get what I pay for and that I might have been a sucker, but these aren't worth using as fishing sinkers.Here's my rundown:* The lead-in chamfer are wildly inconsistent from one tap to the next. They look like they were done on a belt sander with the tap held in a hand drill.*They give you two of every tap, because they are probably going to break if you have to do anything more than chase threads, and also to get to that high piece count - 110. Don't fall for the quantity over quality trick!*The tap-driver handles don't stay tight when you're using them. DO NOT think you will be able to tap anything without a follower and a drill press. I barely got through two holes in 1/8" mild steel and I was ready for the 5/8-16 tap to break at every moment, even with cutting oil and the correctly-sized hole. They might work for wood*They are NOT hardened steel and can be cut with a file. I honestly don't know how I got through the two holes.*The holes I DID tap were cut UNDER SIZED and I could barely thread in a standard bolt matched to the thread pitch* They look nice in the molded case, but the tap handles and dies are almost impossible to remove by hand! You need to pry them out with a screwdriver or something that can fit around the piece somehow.Don't believe the hype!

Seem to work good, very good price

The tap and die set appears to be comprehensive in it's assortment of sizes. The handles appear to be decent. I am anxious to begin to use these tools.

Did not like not knowing that there would have 2Of each , did think it overthat whene ya break oneYa steel have one left.
