Six bulbs are a lot more than I think I would need, but the price was right

I searched for the right brightness and color temperature for a pair of buffet accent lamps. At 250 LM and 2700 Deg these were perfect. Originally I ordered the 4000 Deg version but they were too cool for the evening scene I wanted to create.

These have been working well for almost two years in the bath 10 bulb fixture. It's been really nice not needing to replace incandescent bulbs. The lumens seem just about right for this fixture.

We have now switched virtually all the lamps in our home to LED bulbs, and throughout that process I have found it challenging to translate the wattage/lumens info so that I end up with warmer, softer light, rather than a harsh bright-white glare. We initially installed GE 60 watt equivalent soft-white LED bulbs in this new six-socket fixture [attached pic] in our guest bathroom, because that's what was recommended, but they were WAY too bright. Then we tried small 1.5 watt equivalent bulbs that probably work best as refrigerator lights. Finally, these 30 watt equivalent ended up being just the right amount of light, mounts directly over a 4' x 6' mirror. Interestingly, they are only 3 "watts" in LED lingo, but are recommended in ceiling fixtures, which seems counter-intuitive. I wish they could make the incandescent/LED translation language a little clearer. I have a huge box of 60 "watt" LED bulbs, all labelled as soft white, that came with various lamps and fixtures in our home, but they were almost always so harsh that I had to replace them with something softer and warmer.

Way better than the factory bulbs. Stays cool and if something leans on them they won’t melt.

The bulbs were perfect for many uses. They were smaller so they work good for fan light. fancy hanging ceiling lights.
