is this compatible with iphone 12?

Yes. I use mine with an older iPhone 8 and they work great. I never have a problem pairing the headphones to the phone, and the noise reduction works great.

Does this product come with a 1/4 inch adapter for the 1/8 inch jack? If not would it be compatible with one?

Mine did not come with an adapter, but I would think a stereo 1/4-inch to 1/8-inch adapter will work.

How good is the Bluetooth connection to an Android phone with the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Wireless headphones for use in the gym?

Never tried it. Bluetooth good but seem a bit bulky for gym.

How can I tell how much charge I have, or when it is fully charged?

There's not a way to tell how much charge is left in the headphones, but you can tell when it's fully charged when the red LED light goes off. From my experience with these headphones, you can get 4 hours or so of continuous use. So what I do, is when I have used them for about 2-3 hours, i put them on the charger, just to be sure.
