These balls are nice and big, normally shaped...basically you will be proud to call these balls your own. As is typical of balls, you should avoid crushing them as they may break, which may make you cry out in dismay. When you cup these balls in your hand you will feel their heft. I keep my balls in their bag, and enjoy swishing them around in water. Once your balls are covered with bacteria you will find them very effective and productive.

I used heavy bags of lava rock in my Koi pond waterfall, I dreaded lifting them for cleaning. Initially, I was concerned the plastic bio balls wouldn't be able to handle the flow of water. But I was thrilled to see how well they fit and stable they are. I only wish I had found these sooner!

I purchased these to use in a 20 gal sump under a 90 gal aquarium. I have them split into two large mesh bags in two sections of the sump under the main tank. I used these to replace 2 gal of ceramic rings that were old and clogged. I had wanted a larger sized bioball since they were NOT going in a canister filter and I had plenty of space in the sump. These meet that disruption and the quantity was more than sufficient for my needs. These seem to be working great and are easy to rinse clean.

Really keeps my pond water clear. There wasn’t room to place them behind the primary filter, so I put them in the skimmer, and they work great!!

I bought these for an above ground pool filter/pump situations for a Koi pond.Don't try this idea! They clogged easily for Koi ponds in my particular setup.I don't know why these seem to clog more than fish rocks but they do. It should have been a better flow system.(This review is only for people with Koi pond alternative situations and experimental) I'm sure there may work as intended but some of us Koi pond persons are always looking for our solutions only.

Does the job good. Ive purchase the 300 bio balls....HELP,, ,,,Turn my 2000 gallons cloudy pond water to crystal clear. The reason why I bought these bio balls was because of my UV light Clarifier couldn't keep up to clear the water enough in the hot triple digits. Amazing what bio balls can do.

It was very easy to put into the waterfall as they were encased in a net bag. They are working very well.

The bio balls are much easier to use than what I have been using for more than ten years. The water has not looked any better than it does now. Simple to handle and light weight making for easier for normal maintenance. I would recommend these to any one tring to keep their koi ponds clean. I can see the true beauty of my Koi always.
