Great direct replacement, Really did the job! I had someone else install it for me, and they appreciated the fact that I provided all the parts necessary. Said it was as good as the original equipment.

Great Clutch kit, the alignment tool worked well enough so I didn't have to find some other professional tool. Just use what is supplied and the mating of the tranny to the engine will go fine. Also make sure the clutch disc is facing the correct way, thicker side towards transmission.

What a difference !! Installed it myself. Great clutch, grea kit ! It fits perfectly in my Celica 2000 GTS. Shifting is smooth. Just make sure you grease the fork, the throw out bearing and do a clutch fluid flush in the slave cylinder.

Had a couple of issues with these clutches on a base model 2005 Pontiac Vibe (identical engine / transmission to the Toyota Matrix). The alignment holes on the pressure plate didn't quite line up with the studs on my engine (1ZZ model engine). Sent one clutch back thinking it was defective and got a replacement with the same issue. However, all the mounting bolt holes were aligned perfectly (which is what really matters I think), so maybe it was just that the mounting studs on my engine were slightly bent? Hopefully shouldn't be an issue on other models (and if it is, just take a drill to those stud holes!) - anyone else encounter this problem?! The other kind of annoying thing is that both kits I received only contained one clutch alignment tool (unlike the two shown in the product image) and they definitely do not fit the flywheel recess on these model cars. In case you're wondering, I received the narrower of the two tools in my kits - the thicker one looks like it might be the ticket so maybe you'll get lucky. It is possible to align the clutch by eye (what I did) but it makes the job a bit fiddly. There's a good chance you'll spend the afternoon bench-pressing a transmission. All in all a good clutch for the price (once it's in there!). It's been 5k since I installed mine and I'm 100% happy with it so far.

I purchased this along with a slew of other parts once I started my engine swap. Sent it to a friend of mine who was a certified Toyota mechanic for 15 years and he even said it's one of his favorite oem replacements

16-079 Does not work on 05 Toyota Matrix XR. Replaced with a different brand and worked no problem. Waste of money.

Clutch Pressure Plate and Clutch disc seem fine. When they include a "Throw-Out Bearing", that is exactly what you need to do with it. It appears to be something out of a Cracker-Jack box. Terrible construction quality and not something I would ever bother putting into the car. Labor is the expensive part, don't put a junk throw-out bearing in and then have to deal with it again. Will see how well the clutch lasts.

El set y la calidad de las partes muy bueno, excepto por el Collarin del Clutch, empezó a hacer ruido, y eso que le apliqué toda la grasa de rodamiento que venía con el set, ahora tengo que conseguir un collarín de Clutch nuevo de preferencia original y volver a bajar la transmisión. Todo el trabajo hacerlo de nuevo por esta pieza de mala calidad. ¿Qué pasó Luk? Por eso invierte uno en esta marca, por confiables

Luk produces a very high end clutch kit. I have used them for years. Definetly worth purchasing

After 10k my new clutch is working just fine. Mechanic doing the install mentioned it was high quality.

Clutch works fine, bought a new luk flywheel with it instead of getting original one resurfaced, my only complaint would be that the alignment tool was broken in half so i had to align it by eye, still worked fine though.

Have put about 600 kms on this clutch so far, feels great.
