First of all it seems to me that the reviews seem to be from the different straps/models all together. So just to reiterate that i bought the black padded neck strap with detachable neck pad.I wanted a backup sax strap and It seems reasonable quality for the money, when it was discounted at the time of purchase. So each component seems fairly durable after five months of using it. Even without the removable neck pad i find it comfortable enough. But with or without the neck pad I prefer my BG strap, because of how it sits around the bottom of my neck. The thing is we all a different and so are the size and shape of our necks.But what I found is a problem with this model strap(even after asking questions about it) is that due to the buckle, the straps slip through too easily (even on a light alto, but maybe its the way i play). Which is a pity because the straps and buckle seem quite strong. They should change the design of the buckle slightly to prevent this. I was going to send it back but I found a nifty strong little clamp to stop the straps slipping, which doesnt get in the way of the strap, me or the horn. Otherwise I would have sent it back and bought the leather model(which seems to not slip. But as Ive implied this strap without the detachable neck pad suites my neck better.

The strap arrived quickly. It is robust and has a metal link to adjust the length of the cord to the metal grip to attach to the saxophone. Having a padded leather neck support it was very comfortable. I have played sax for more than 40 years and this the best strap I have had.

I was really happy with this strap, it was comfortable, easy to use and seemed sturdy.I used it with my bari, and it failed one night whilst playing. Luckily no harm done on this occasion.Maybe don't use it for more than an alto.

Although this product looks like what I need. I was disappointed to have opened the box to what was supposed to be a black neck strap, only to find a silver one. It even said black on the packaging. The process of return is Amazon means me taking time out to find a UPS depot locally. I’m therefore going to reluctantly keep it. On the face of it, the strap feels quality and looks like it will be very supportive. If someone from the company that sold it to me wishes to contact me, I will be interested to know what you can do for me.

Excellent product

Bought for my friend, who is a semi-pro sax player. She's more than pleased with this strap, very well made, comfortable & with a secure strong clip, which is much better than the strap that came with her £1000 saxaphone she recently purchaced, which she did have doubts about how secure the strap was holding the sax on.All in all very pleased, well worth the money

There is no denying this is a high quality product and is very well made, comfortable and secure. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the strap & adjustment system for getting the correct position was a bit fiddly and the extension piece was a bit troublesome to get right. I'm quite new to saxophone and was hoping this strap would help me to hold the saxophone both at the correct level and correct angle.First impressions are of a nicely made and strong strap that is both attractive and quite easy to use. Nice padding around the neckHowever, I found that the weight of the instrument meant that the cord slipped and the sax was constantly out of reach.Also, I'm quite short 5'3, and when I adjusted the cord to fit, the breastplate was high under my chin. I had to totally loosen the cord to take it off.Just not comfortableI returned this item
