CowlesT3802 Door Edge Guard

Chose this item due to ratings...very happy. I had minor "door ding" damage to the outer edge of a door this covered it and looks very nice not to mention it will protect the edge. I have a Lexus Rx540h and the doors are very curvy but the adhesive held it in place very well. Cant speak of longevity just yet but initially well pleased.Its been about 1-1/2 years since installed and I'm not happy with the product. During the summer the adhesive became very loose and let the edge molding come off, it will go back on but it continually comes off. Another issue worse than that is the glue has built a hard residue around the edge of the molding and I don't know how hard that will be to remove from the door - initially it looks to be very difficult to remove- thats a very bad thing which means I am reducing my rating from a 5 star to a 1 star and would not recommend this product

Perfect fit for my 2014 Tacoma TRD SPORT. I previously used their clear item and would NOT recommend them since after about a year the GLUE is what turns yellow on the CLEAR product. Black looks good with my Platinum Gray & Black trim colors.

Much higher quality than I expected. Adhesive worked perfectly. I've had it on a 2011 535i MSport on the drivers side doors and it looks factory, you don't even know it's there. It's been in the sun all day at work in 80F+ and no peeling or warping. The only drawback is that you don't get much. One package included two strips which were just barely long enough to completely cover my driver door edge and was a bit short on the passenger door. I had to order a second package for the passenger side.

We live in Arizona and the glue on this product melts so now I have a sticky mess at the door edges. Everyone always gets the glue on their hands and it is difficult to remove. Now I have to find a product to remove the glue from the car door without damaging the finish.

Easy to install, rubber feels really nice. Just the right density. I had previously installed a clear pack and I was happy with them, but I must say the black rubber is even better (and it looks better on my car). You might want to use a heat gun and a rubber mallet to install perfectly, but these strips will go on easily even without tools. I do like how they conform to the sharp bends of the rear doors.

these are a very good buy---much less than those from a dealer. they look, stick, install and work well. the only caution is that for some vehicles they may not extend the length of the entire door---which is really fine since most doors don't require more. but you can always buy and cut an extra piece and butt it up against the other w/o any real visual issues---especially if done at the bottom of the door.

I love these door edge guards. I have used a few sets, and only had a problem with one. The adhesive did not stick to the door. Word of caution; if you remove them, the adhesive is difficult to remove from the door!

Very easy install on our GMC Yukon doors. Cuts easily with tin snips/heavy duty scissors. Once you pry the first part wide enough to slide on, the lip of the door helps you quickly and easily snap it in place. Sun warms adhesive - not going anywhere.
