It works flawlessly.
I read the reviews, the good and the bad. For reference the photo has a lightning cable (OEM Apple charging cable) in white and this audio cable in black. It is indeed pretty thin, but as an old timer who remembers the way back days of wired headphones (lol sarcasm) it’s pretty typical of wired headphone cords.I ordered this to use my AirPods Max with my Steam Deck during flights. After way too many hours in /r and trying to get my headphones to work via Bluetooth and failing, I gave up and went for the cable. At $30 it was worth it for me, they plug right in and work great, flawlessly even. The sound quality is good, I don’t notice any real difference. As far as durability goes I’m not overly concerned. The cable will live in my case except during flights.

Works with AirPod Pros
unfortunately this is the only cord that will work for the airpod pros. It does work great and i have tested many others! very expensive for a silly cord but it does work! it’s pretty long too, i think around 4 feet.

Works for using AirPods with ps5
I got this cord so I could use my AirPods Max with my PS5. Happy to say this cord works! You just plug in the headphone Jack part of the cord into the controller and the lightning part into the headphones. I personally don’t think that this cord is worth $35 because it feels flimsy and made of cheap material; not the normal material apple cords are made of. I’ll just have to be gentle when handling the cord. But it seems that this is the only cord on the market that works for what I needed it to do.

works with beats solo pro
This product feels Very cheaply made and is overpriced but works with beats solo pro as listed, (I've gone through abut 5 cables and adapters and this one finally works).

Thin but durable.
Worked as expected. Cable feels flimsy but is more durable than you’d think.

Thin and flimsy, but works.
As many other people have mentioned, this is one THIN cable. Makes me seriously question the durability and lifespan it will have over time. I haven’t had any issues so far, but I will probably try to reenforce the ends of the cable so there’s less of a chance of it snapping or fraying... It is frustrating that something so simple and flimsy can be so expensive, but that is the Apple tax. That being said, this is an essential if you want to use your Apple-designed over-ear headphones wired. I use this for my Beats Solo Pro, but this also work for AirPods Max. Sound quality is as-expected as it works with all of my AUX devices. One small plus is that it can work bi-directionally, so you can actually plug the Lightning end into your phone and play audio output through the AUX to other devices.

This is the BEST cable if you want to listen to AirPods MAX on a plane
SO - when I bought my AirPods MAX - I bought them with the intention of being able to listen to the audio on a plane. My initial thought was: awesome - all I need is a lightning to 3.5mm cable and I'm SET! No need to buy an expensive bluetooth adapter and no need to worry if it's charged / will last long enough for the flight or movie. SO - I bought the cord for something like $10 and was feeling happy about it... until I tested it... it didn't work... My heart sunk - did I just spend $500 for headphones that won't serve my #1 use case??Good news is no - I didn't... I just spent $10 on the wrong cable.Pretty much every lightning to 3.5mm audio cable on the market right now is what's called: Uni-Directional. Meaning that it will only work in one direction. MOST of these cables were made to plug your iPhone into an audio speaker or car stereo... they work ONLY when the sound goes from the lightning plug into the 3.5mm audio jack. HOWEVER, AirPods MAX need to work in the other direction... pushing sound from the 3.5mm audio jack into the lighting port.THIS Apple cable (and yes - it's WAY more expensive than you want it to be), is BI-DIRECTIONAL - meaning it will transmit sounds in both directions... In short: it solves the problem and allows you to listen to the movie on a plane (or any other sound source that has a 3.5mm audio jack). So get this bi-directional cable and solve your AirPods Max issues!
