Don't need to see seconds flashing by; toggle "seconds" to "Outdoor Temp"
I only want to be able to see the time, the date, day of the week, and the temp inside and outside. I actually have a little gadget that shows the indoor temp and the humidity on my desk. But it's a tiny thing and only I can see it. My previous La Crosse clock (WS-8117U-IT-AL) showed the moon phases. But the sensor for that clock rusted out and I can't seem to find another sensor. All of the large-display LED clocks are showing seconds lately. I imagine that would be a drain on the battery. But worse, I don't want to be distracted by seconds flashing. I keep the clock on a shelf beneath the TV on a TV stand. What's nice is that I can "toggle" the clock to switch from showing "Seconds" to showing the "Outdoor Temp." If the running seconds distract, switch it to Outdoor Temp. Now it's really an Indoor/Outdoor Temp reading clock. (In my search for an Atomic Clock, being able to turn off the running second display [or have no seconds display at all] was an important factor in my choice of clock). The moon phase display is not included in this model (513-1919-INT). Instead, it displays the humidity in the room. There's a cute little bar near the % that tells you whether you're comfortable, humidity-wise. (I prefer the moon phase display. I based how I should relate with my fellow humans by the moon phase on the clock. Conversely, when I've had an extremely trying day dealing with crazy people, I'd invariably notice, after I'm home and safe, that the clock's display shows a full moon. "No wonder everyone's nuts. It's a full moon. Tomorrow, I'll be expecting that. I'll know how to keep them from being provoked into raving lunatics). So, like I said, the moon phase icon is gone, and is replaced with the humidity reading in the room.If you search the Model# 513-1919-INT on the internet, you'll find the La Crosse site where this clock is featured. The clock comes with a little Quick Setup sheet. A full manual can be downloaded on the clock's page (and the Quick Setup sheet is also downloadable). If you mess up (or the wireless connection messes up), don't panic. The first thing you want is to have the sensor make a connection to the clock. Follow the directions about the order in which you place your AA batteries: "Should I put the batteries in the sensor first or in the clock?" Read the directions (which can be totally wrong... in which case, you would have to switch which part gets the batteries first). If the connection between the sensor and the clock fails to display the outdoor temp or the "radio signal strength" icon on the display shows nothing, remember that computer chips have residual memory even with the batteries out. You have to scrub the memory in the clock. Remove all batteries (both clock and sensor). Press and hold any button on the back of the clock for, say, 20 seconds. (It's the same thing as when your cable or satellite stops responding. To reset it, unplug the box. Give it time to drain the memory glitch that caused your box to stop responding. Plug it again, and the box will have the missing bad data replaced with new good data).Getting the clock to sync with the satellite: Biggest complaint about these clocks, by far, is, "My clock doesn't communicate with the satellite!" Again, the manual points out that the satellite emits a signal during a certain frame of time--that is, during certain hours of the day. If the signal icon doesn't appear (which means the clock isn't receiving time data from the satellite), just set the clock manually. It could take days before the satellite signal "finds" your clock. But when you least expect it, you'll see the icon, and your clock will be set according to the atomic clock in ?Colorado? I think it's somewhere in that vicinity.Once the outdoor temp sensor is communicating with the clock and the displays the temp, it's time to take the sensor outside and mount it nearby. The best place is somewhere that won't expose the sensor to direct sunlight. The same is true for rain. The radio wave easily passes through walls, but try not to place the sensor too far away from the room where you have your clock. It's best to mount the sensor on a foot or two under the eave of the roof. If it's too close to the eave, ambient heat gathers in the nook under the eave, so the clock will display a hotter-than-correct temp. Also, moist, humid air gathers under the eave, leaving the sensor exposed to excessive moisture. So try to mount the sensor far enough beneath the eave without exposing the unit to rain and sunlight. And that's it. It really is a nice clock. It's sharp-looking. Easy to read.

Super clock. I’m so happy to have this clock. Modern style, best clock on the market.
The media could not be loaded. The most beautiful clock ever. I’m happy. Thank you to seller. This is exactly what I was looking for a long time, this clock shows the weather outside, a very convenient function.

Good feature set and performance; leaves room for improvement
I purchased this unit to replace a Skyscan unit that stopped working after many years.I find the display much easier to read, and the unit does seem to successfully pick up WWVB. However, I was disappointed to find that the unit does not display both seconds and outdoor temperature simultaneously: you have to toggle the display mode to see one or the other. If I had known about this feature earlier, I would have looked further before purchasing.

Outdoor thermometer incorrect.
I own 3 "old school" LaCrosse clocks, one is pushing 20 years old. Out of the box you can see the quality is not the same. This piece of junk barely lasted a month before it started reading outrageous outdoor temperatures. I went thru many batteries and even tried different brands. Just when I think it may be ok it flakes out again. Look elsewhere.

Mystery sounds
It keeps time like a clock should but I have been unable to figure out even with the instructions how to do the nature sounds and they literally just turn on randomly by themselves and I cannot figure out how to stop that
