I take my ice cream consumption seriously, and this baby scooper is the root of my Saturday night rage. Tiny scoops that refuse to leave the scooper.. hard to hold or keep a monkey grip on.. and a dull edge that is tough to get through frozen ice cream.Quality control or lack thereof. The finish is wearing off already and turns out there is a little black soft cover that fills the hollow handle. It holds a ton of germs inside and has to be removed each time it gets cleaned. Not a quality product...

I've gone through quite a few ice cream scoops, mainly those liquid-filled ones that are supposed to not stick to the ice cream, and the ones with various mechanical methods for assisting with releasing the IC. most were aluminum, some were painted, all did not respond well to dishwashers or hot water and quickly corroded, or bent, or otherwise met an untimely demise. This little babe from Bobu is great. Stainless steel, with a good scoop shape for digging into the hardest of IC. When I received it, I thought the handle was rather thin and a bit short, but in use these two issues have not really been deleterious factors. Time will tell if it holds up to the usual culinary abuse that ice cream scoops must endure, but the prognosis is quite positive. It's a great scoop at a very good price.

I purchased two of these now and will probably buy a third one. They handle well and scoop ice cream without a problem. I was looking for an ice scoop that didn't pit and wasn't plastic. I have had these scoops for almost a year now and they look as good as the day that I started using them. There is no plating or chrome so you don't have to worry about chrome plating getting into your food. They can be washed in the dishwasher too. Sometimes a regular spoon may be needed to push the ice cream off the scooper but that isn't a problem for me.

Smelled awful and the handle insert fell off-the smell went away with the handle. It worked great while the handle lasted, despite the smell. Finally tossed it out because without the handle insert it was very uncomfortable to use.

This product is exactly as it looks. It is well built and does the job well. It washes easily and dries fast. I was hestitant to purchase it but I am pleasantly surprise. if you are tired of bending spoons to scoop ice cream, this is the answer. It does it effortlessly and the right amount. I definitely recommend this ice cream scoop at this time.

This scoop is a nice size and easy to handle. Not too bulky. It's my favorite scoop now. I wanted to buy a back up but they were out of stock. Now that they are available again, will buy another one and one for my mother too. Takes up less space in my kitchen drawer as well. Love it.

I would have given this 5 stars, but there is 1 major concern.The packaging is nice. I love the grip on the spoon. It is kinda light, so I don't know how sturdy it is exactly, but! When I pulled it out the package, it had stains on it. Like it was previously used. U can tell it was old cream stains. I washed it thoroughly. Other than that, it seems nice.

Very nice scoop. Strong and solid. this thing will never bend or break. My reason for 4 stars is my fault. I should have read the description a little closer. The scoop is smaller than I though it would be. Just means I have to do more scooping. For design and strength I would give it 5 stars. I should also add it is a great value at the price I paid
