MCS White MBI Shadow Box Frame 12'X12

I'd give it 5 stars if it had been easier to get the backing and glass out and back in. Everything is a tight fit.That being said, the first thing I needed to do was paint it to compliment what was going in it. The frame takes primer and paint very well. That's a bonus. It seems to be fairly well constructed. No funny offset corners that you often see in less expensive frames.There is plenty of space between the glass and backing to add something like shells or dimensional items, but it's not so deep that it looks like a box hanging on the wall. However, I wouldn't add anything of too much weight since the hanger that is attached to the back is sort of wimpy.I wouldl recommend this item to someone looking for a decent shadow box at a fair price.

I did my own wall art using this shadow box. I have attached the photo for reference. The background is cardboard the one facing the front and brown. I needed a white background so I stuck a 12 X 12 white gloss paper and had to trip few miillimeters of pare here and there to be able to fit it back inside. The inner square helped cover that squiggly trimming that I did . All in all I am happy with my purchase.From the glass front to the back there a good 1/2 inch gap to fit things comfortably

I ordered 5 of these frames in late March as a gift for my brother and had them shipped to his home. received 1 frame in a box, then a few days later another box with 3 frames in it. Still waiting for the 5th frame. UPS says they attempted delivery, although there were 3 of us at home in his small townhouse that entire day and evening and we never saw or heard a delivery attempt. UPS then turned the package over to the USPS for delivery who has now lost it, can't find it, and refuses to do anything about it, even though we have all of the tracking information, including the tracking number UPS assigned to it. The frames we received are OK - nothing special. Each box we received was big enough to pack all 5 frames into, so I don't understand why in the world it takes 3 different shipments to get 5 of the exact same thing from the same company - and I'm so frustrated with the delivery snafus - I don't know if we'll ever see the 5th frame, but I'm not risking ordering another one. Not sure how much of a hassle its going to be to get my money back on that one, but will post again with that info.

I bought this to make a little present for my husband for his first fathers day. I put sonogram pics, our sons hospital hat, and a few other things inside. It was easy to do because all I had to do was glue it to the backing. Some of the other ones require you to slide the back in and out. This works like a standard picture frame and it makes all the difference. It's well made, sturdy, and looks and feels like quality. We didn't hang it, it sits on a table. If we did want to hang it though I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.

I purchased the shadow box as a frame for a print that I was gifting. For fourteen dollars this shadow box was very nice! My expectations were not high...I did not think that a quality shadow box/frame could be so affordable. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised; I have seen similar frames/shadow boxes for double the price. It held my 12" by 12" print perfectly. It shipped quickly, and was wrapped in bubble wrap so it did not sustain any damage during transit. If in the market for another shadow box, I will definitely purchase this product again.

It served my purpose nicely. They seem fairly well made, for the price. Sometimes I am sure you can find something similar for a bit less, but I needed them now, and Amazon had them now. So NOW counts towards a very satisfactory rating. I just couldn't do 5 stars, but they are great for many situations.

I used this Shadow Box Frame to make for all of my daughter's birth sentimental little things. I cut one of the baby blankets from the hospital, used it as a background (just used a hot glue gun). I then glued on an ultrasound photo, the onesie & hat she wore home from the hospital, the 'name card' that was in her bassinet at the hospital, and both of our hospital ID bands. It's absolutely adorable. At first I thought the frame would be too small but it's perfect.

For the price it was good. Came with a few scratches that I could have done without, but I was too lazy to return it. Didn't come with any hanging parts so I had to head to Michaels and improvise. All in all it worked for what I needed to display after a few fixes, but I probably won't purchase this again to avoid the hassle.
