POWERTEC8PCs Low Profile Bench Dogs, Woodworking Tools for 3/4" Bench Dog Hole, Fits for Work Table, MFT Table, Work Bench & Portable Workbench (71037-P2)

I bought these hoping they might work for my old B&D Workmate, unfortunately the 3/4" pegs were too loose a fit in my Workmate's 20mm dog holes. I later made a set of replacement jaws for a friends newer Workmate 300 as the original particleboard ones were falling apart. These I made with 3/4" holes and these plastic dogs worked beautifully. I gave them to her with the new jaws and she couldn't be happier. They fit snugly without being difficult to insert or remove.

Got these hoping I could leave them in my workmate when I store it. No chance of that. They are way too loose fitting to stay in the table when it is folded and stored. They also won't hold things very well. When you tighten down on them the loose fit causes them to tilt up and push the work piece up off the surface. You can't get a good firm clamp on things because of this. I wouldn't suggest looking at some other bench dogs.

These are not quite as good as the Rockler bench dogs. It's not that they aren't well made, they are, but they are just a bit thicker (1/16"), wider and longer than the Rockler ones. If that is what you are looking for, then you may consider them better. I don't mind the wider and longer, but the thicker may be higher than a thin piece of wood.

Get some made from metal both for the weight and resistance.

They are what they say they are and they work perfectly.

These fit snugly into the half inch holes with no wiggle. That said they are not so tight as to be stubborn to turn or reposition. Great addition to the shop.

The only bench dogs I could find for 19 mm holes. Top quality. Nice low profile so can be used for quite thin wood. And not Chinese

These are purchased to supplement the original "dogs" supplied with my portable workbench. They arrived promptly & in good order.

The quality is good for being plastic yet will serve well for my vice I purchased. Good value. Thank you
