Buy Great Expectations: Part 1: Mandarin Companion Graded Readers Level 2, Traditional Chinese Edition: Read Kindle Store Reviews - desertcart.com Review: 這是一本很好的小說! - 我覺得這本書不但有用而且好玩!我看的時候我一下子開心一下子難過。 I probably made some mistake writing this, but yeah, this book almost made me cry. I forgot how good this story was, and it's translated so well here. The names are sometimes comically literal (冰冰) but it was genuinely a pleasure to read, and made me feel things. I guess my only real complaint is that I wish it were longer. About 70% of the way through the book, I was like -- oh wait, that's the end of the story? But it's okay, because there's more! On to the next one! (Also, when's volume 3 coming out?) Edit: Turns out it's just two volumes. 好吧 Review: Great - Wonderful graded readers. There is also audio available which is very well-done.

Nice read, and good for those learning Chinese
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has an interesting storyline, with vivid, realistic characters, yet understandable enough for someone like me who has been learning Chinese for about a year.

Useful reading for Chinese learners
Helpful in helping me speed up my reading and refreshing vocabulary that I was on the verge of forgetting. Lots of vocabulary is repeated so that really helps it sink in. Looking forward to more titles coming out

Littered with Typos
Engaging story, but the version I purchased has an appalling number of typos. For example: -> 臟 (zang4 - "internal organs") instead of 髒 (zang1 - "dirty") -> 註意到 (zhu4yi4dao4 - no meaning??) instead of 注意到 (zhu4yi4dao4 - "notice") -> 頭發 (tou2fa1 - no meaning??) instead of 頭髮 (tou2fa4 - "hair") -> 只狗 instead of 隻狗 While I appreciate the work that's been put into this series, this seems totally ridiculous. These examples have obviously been mechanically converted from simplified to traditional (髒 and 臟 share the simplified form 脏, 注 is the simplified form of 註, 髮 and 發 share the simplified form 发, and 只 is the simplified form of 隻). A single editorial pass ought to have caught this. Overlooking 只 and 注 is somewhat understandable, but 頭發, 註意到, and 臟/髒? Does the editor even read traditional characters?! Not only are these errors confusing for somebody using these texts as learning material (particularly learning material for traditional characters...), they also completely undermine the trust a student ought to have in their textbook.
