Compact Reference Monitors
I'm pleased with the JBL Reference Monitors. I use this with my Rode Podcaster Pro Mixing Board connected with two TRS Cables. I have them connected to my iMac via Bluetooth. They have a small footprint and are designed to sit on a desk. Hook-up was easy. The sound is crisp and and clear. These are designed for reference, not entertainment sound--so you're not getting much bass or modified sound. It's nice to have several input capabilities. You switch between inputs by pushing the selector button. The markings on the indicator are a bit small but it's not a big drawback. The volume control and selector switch have a good solid feel to them.So I'm a happy camper. I was a bit concerned that these were available before the release date listed on other sites; however, the box indicates US and I had no problem registering the product with JBL. I'm not sure about if they would honor the warranty since Amazon is not list, but I doubt if I would have any issues with the speakers. They work great and I don't play them at extreme levels. So I recommend them and I believe the asking price make them a good value.

Excellent sounding speakers
My son mostly uses them for gaming, they are great quality and sound for the price. They are Bluetooth so you can also connect them to your tv for movies or phone for music. He loves them!

Good quality
So I bought these mostly for gaming, music listening and movies. Honestly, I think they're a bit overkill for that, but I don't consider that a complaint.I've seen some reviews regarding the bass response. I can see how that would be true if you're using them as they're intended or for listening to really bassy heavy music like House, EDM, Rap, etc. I'm mostly a rocker and haven't had the same experience. Your mileage may vary, but I've done a bunch of jazz, classic rock, metal and 80's pop... They sound great. The kick drum, bass guitar and low guitar tones are crystal clear.Like I said, they're a bit overkill for multi media use, but they have my full recommendation for anyone looking to step up like I was. I got tired of cheap, flat sounding speakers and I decided to spend a little more on a reliable brand. No regrets whatsoever. Mine do have the annoying startup noise a few other people mentioned and it does suck. I haven't figured out a way to disable it.Other than that, install was really easy and there's no blemishes on the speakers. I'm hard wired so I have no experience with the Bluetooth performance. I only removed one star because of the startup noise. It's really loud and unnecessary and I almost fell out of my seat the first time I turned them on, totally forgot about it.

Buy the best - don't buy anything else...
I know some of the stuff they sell here is cheaper. Don't send Chinese speakers back to AMAZON. They don't like it much, and we all pay more money because of it.A quick story. JBL was founded by James Bullough Lansing (1902–1949), an American audio engineer and loudspeaker designer best known for establishing two audio companies that bear his name, Altec Lansing and JBL, the latter taken from his initials. He still has plants all over, including here in Los Angeles, where he started his first company, End of story - back to review. You are an adult now. When you buy junk, you know it. If you are looking for a professional set of speakers for your home, I promise, you've found it.JBL104 Reference monitors are compatible with most desktop and laptop computers, as well as home or professional recording equipment.Three sets of inputs allow connection with professional equipment, personal music players and consumer devices.Front-panel input control selects Bluetooth, aux, RCA, TRS or combines all inputs.Front-panel volume control and headphone jack with speaker mute feature.Reference mixes via Bluetooth 5.0 streaming.Proprietary coaxial driver combines 4.5-Inch (118 mm) woofer and .75-Inch (19 mm) soft-dome tweeter for transparency and wide sweet spot.Integrated 60-watt Class D power amplifier; 30 watts distributed to each speaker.Master monitor includes electronics for the extension monitor, minimizing wiring and clutter.Available in black (104-bt) and white (104-btw) variants.Purchase includes: JBL104-BT Reference monitors (pair); 1x extension monitor speaker wire (2-Conductor, 2 meters); 1x 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable; 1x power Cord; 1x quick setup guide. These are really, really good speakers. They can make a lot of sound for your Bossa Nova parties. They are just incredible for when you and your lover want to listen to a romantic Frank Sinatra.Yes, they will play Led Zeppelin better for your kids than you heard it when you were a kid.I bought all the cheap foreign nonsense. You're an adult now. Spend the extra $20 and get the best.Only the best, made right here in the USA. Three thumbs up. Add to cart.

Wonderful All-in-One PC/Desk Speakers
These are exactly what I wanted from a pair of speakers for my PC desk. I bought them to replace some very cheap and old basic dell speakers that you'd find in any office building. I have some degree of experience with sound setups so I can say that these are very convenient and wonderful for the price. The highlights:* All-in-one: You have a power cable that goes into the wall, and a 3.5mm that goes into your input source. That's it. In comparison to a lot of studio labeled equipment this is very nice.* Size: They are large enough to produce sounds that feel substantial, while small enough to not be huge sitting on a desk.* Connectivity: Bluetooth setup with these is very straightforward. When connected via 3.5mm, the auto-shutoff is quite nice. After reading older reviews, it seems they have changed the default setting these ship with, so that by default they no longer produce the obnoxious sound that has been reported on wakeup. All in all these have turned out to be the perfect speaker pair for my desk setup. Good quality for a good price and no headaches.
