The Pout-Pout Fish book and CD storytime set (A Pout-Pout Fish Adventure) Audio CD – Unabridged, February 19, 2013

Exactly what I was looking for! The board book was pretty big and absolutely worth what I paid for it (around $8).Side note: Multiple kids I have babysat have had me read this book over and over! Always a fan favorite!

I am a sucker fish for a good rhyming book and this book is just that. I like to read this as a rap and over emphasize the “blubs” and “smooches.” The illustration are fantastic as well. Oh yeah, my toddler grandbabies love too. All I have to do is start saying, “Deep in the water where the fish hang out…” and my 15-month-old granddaughter will stop what she’s doing and find the book. She even tries reading it herself.

I discovered this book when my now-teenage grandchildren were tiny. I loved reading it to them because the cadence is fun to read and they enjoyed hearing the sorry-for-himself fish tale. We still say “Don’t be a pout-pout fish” when a family member is pouting. Everyone chuckles (almost) every time.I enjoy giving this book as a baby gift.

This is my daughters all time favorite book! Imagine my surprise when I discovered it came in a mini board book version! We bought this to take on the go and for vacation as the hard back book is rather big. She loves this and it’s a lot easier for her to turn the pages at 13 months old. Highly recommend!

The first time my students opened this book, one of the pages came undone from the stitching. When I picked it ups to use it as a class read-aloud, it fell apart further. It now has 3 pages that have come apart at the seam. I would like to have this book replaced please possible with another type of binding. I would greatly appreciate it!!!! Deborah Diesen tells a magical, little tale of a gloomy fish would just needs to accept love into his heart. The ending of this story is one of the most adorable endings to a children's book that I have ever read. It's a clever tale that was written in a way that entices the reader to the very end. My four-year-old wanted this book essentially because of the illustration of the Pout-Pout Fish on the front. We ordinarily do not purchase books we have not ever previewed from the library or some other source. I was leery to buy the book because there was no way of telling whether or not my little boy would like it. However, I'm so glad that The Pout-Pout Fish now sits on the shelf of our book collection. The copy we ordered came with a CD that contains a reading of this book. It's easy for my four-year-old son to follow along with the book and CD because a chiming sound is made when the page needs to be turned. If you do not yet own this book, you and your children are truly missing out.

This book was purchased for my grandson.He loves the book and even more the CD.He can read along or at least get the jest of what is on the pages.Whenever he comes over for the night he picks this book as his bedtime story.
