I have only just had this fitted ....and I was told it was easy. As far as I can tell it does exactly as advertised!

Great size and functionality, parking mode as withDash cam mode simple to use. Really impressed with Kenwoods quality and design so bought their double din car stereo DMX8019DABS.

Very good quality pictures and seems to work quite well except I am having trouble with the wifi , it connects ok eventually but not able to view any files on my mobile app and there are no trouble shooting instructions for this issue so I am not sure if it is a fault .At the time of writing this review customer service had not given me a satisfactory solution but will keep trying to get one as I like the camera.

Not that easy to connect but if you have patience and make sure you follow the instructions carefully it will connect to mobile devices. The main problem is if you are already connected to any other wifi connection which may even be the car itself, which is where you have to be aware of what your doing before trying to set the connection up. Once you have established a connection it works brilliantly, enabling you to change settings via the app, review footage and although I haven’t tried it yet transfer video to your mobile.

I have used this dash cam for three weeks now to make sure this review is as accurate as possible. I have given it one star, as I can’t give any less, but to be honest the actual camera is worse than useless. To explain this, first I will list the good points: 1) It is reasonably priced 2) It is a good quality imageUnfortunately, that’s it for the good points, now the not so good: 1) This camera automatically saves footage if it senses you have an accident. Surely that’s good, I hear you ask. Normally I would say it is. However, this camera is so sensitive that it saves footage after every pothole, speed bump, raised kerb etc. I have worked out that it saves around a third of the footage in the protected folder on the memory card. This wouldn’t be so bad were it not for the fact that all this footage is protected, so you have to regularly empty this protected directory from your memory card otherwise you would run out of space. In fact, the free card that comes with the camera is so small it would only last about a day without needing to do this. 2) The worst problem, and the one that makes this camera worse than useless, is the fact that it will randomly stop recording footage. There appears to be no factor that makes it happen, it just decides to stop. I first noticed it when I was checking through the footage to see what had been protected and what had not, and I noticed about 20 minutes missing from both the normal and protected footage. The second time it happened I noticed the red flashing recording time had gone from the top-right of the screen when I glanced at the camera, and again it had missed around 20 minutes of my journey when I later checked. At the time of writing this review I have had the camera three weeks, which means I have used it around 30 times, and it has stopped recording journeys at least five times that I know of. In the end I have had to purchase a power adaptor for the car with an on/off switch so if I notice it has stopped recording I can switch it off and back on without any problem. Of course, the fact that you cannot rely on this camera to actually record all the footage when you use it makes it worse than useless in my opinion. If you do end up needing the footage for any reason you will have to hope it has recorded it, but you won’t have any confidence that it actually will have done.For reference, I have used the original high-speed memory card from my old dash cam, the one supplied free, and a brand new branded high-speed memory card and all of them have had the issues above. My only conclusion is that it is the camera with the fault not the cards.

when used with rear camera best quality is 1080p, this leads to oncoming traffics registration numbers being somewhat blurry.For the price it is a good camera and feels well made. The app made it really easy to setup and access recordings so am very pleased with this aspect of the device. It does provide some peace of mind and I have noticed just having the camera has improved the behaviour of those around me, I seem to have less people parked on my rear bumper! #worthIt

Esta cámara tiene todas las cualidades necesarias para un uso intensivo, GPS, sensor G, buena calidad de imagen, grabación automática y una serie de accesorios que se pueden ir ampliando, todo un acierto si “pudiéramos” usarla en carretera…Según la legislación española, o mejor dicho, la falta de legislación específica, no se puede grabar videos en las vías públicas, así que básicamente no se podría usar esta cámara, al menos que no almacenemos los videos más allá de unos minutos o si usamos los videos de forma doméstica bajo estrictos parámetros como contraseñas, etc…Por lo que una de las opciones que necesitas en una cámara es que se pueda eliminar los videos automáticamente, y este modelo no lo hace… hay que hacerlo manualmente.Por otro lado, la sujeción del parabrisas es algo extraña, supongo que al ingeniero de turno le funcionó correctamente en el laboratorio, pero ese sistema de anclaje con imanes en carreteras secundarias es inoperativo, si pillas un bache tiembla la cámara, aunque no cae…La calidad de la imagen es muy buena, graba un ángulo suficientemente amplio para recoger todo lo que hay delante, más incluso que el propio parabrisas del coche.La aplicación para Windows es genial, permite visualizar los videos con una gran nitidez y traza automáticamente la ruta sobre el mapa, para gestionar trayectos o para aplicaciones de turismos es una gran herramienta…A falta de realizar una prueba exhaustiva en un trayecto largo, me ha gustado, parece robusta, funciona correctamente y permite aumentar la seguridad en carretera, aunque su coste me parece excesivo, supongo que la garantía y soporte de una gran marca también hay que pagarla, por lo que en resumen, es una buena compra…

Die Dashcam ist gut, erfüllt seine Funktionen. Erst hatte ich sie so angeschlossen, dass sie sich beim Einschalten der Zündung aktiviert. Das hatte den Nachteil, dass die Camera alle drei Tage extern geladen werden musste. Nun wird die Kamera permanent mit Strom versorgt. Das hat den Nachteil, dass sich die Autobatterie immer wieder entleert. Nun ziehe ich bei jedem Stop das Kabel aus der Buchse und verbinde die Dashcam vor dem Anfahren. Dass kann es nicht sein.

Bild und Ton ist gut startet zu oft neu.
