The Joys of Sax
Sounds like a sax alright. Inplay strings and keyboard but could never master a woodwind. Each day I walk buband try to consistently hold a tone. When I can I scale. Well worth it if you want to learn as long as my neighbors do not mind.

Don't Buy - Don't Work
This product is defective and Amazon should remove from the market place. It's mouthpiece is misinformed and it's impossible for the reed to lay properly on it. Couldn't get one note to sound and I am returning it to the seller for a refund.

Mostly playable. A value purchase for the curious.
The little pocket sax I recieved was not quite as advertised, but I wouldn't squabble about that at this price point. Modeled after a Xaphoon. Similar/same tonality. The included mouthpiece and ligature was not worth its plastic and metal from what I could tell, and it did not take an alternative standard alto mouthpiece easily. To be able to extract any useful tone without leakage or immediately overblowing I had to use another mouthpiece, which again, was a tough fit. Don't ram an expensive one onto it, you'll likely ruin it if the pocket sax you get runs to the larger side of industrial tolerences. This also means that tuning by adjusting the mouthpiece distance is near impossible (not to mention the space for attachment is stubby), and more reliant on embrochre. Well packaged, ok fingering chart that I paid little attention too. Not suggested for a student, but maybe a novelty item for someone who is curious about a more travel-sized, portable woodwind for playing around on. To its credit: even with a budget and ill-fitting alto mouthpiece shoved onto it, it felt more ergonomic and playable than an actual patented Xaphoon. Could be a good gateway woodwind instrument for someone to mess around with if they are willing to eat the 20 bucks of tuition to learn that they can have something actually playable at double-or-more the cost. Still, not sad I got it- not much of a woodwind player but was able to quickly play some slightly off-key blues and squeeze some decent sound out of it. Standard alto sax players beware, when I was able to actually push an overblow out of it, the instrument tended to overblow to the 4th like a clarinet, not at the upper octave. If you can blow an altissimo squeak you might get the octave up; I'm uncertain. Rounding this review out, when not used in a pro setting, it's worth the price 100%. Take it camping or maybe to the beach. Expect a couple of quirks and have fun with it. It's on the cusp of being an actual instrument, just cheap and super rough around the edges. Xaphoon-type woodwinds are already a little more difficult to play and get to sound good than their inviting nature and price points would suggest. With time and practice you could find some real enjoyment out of them, and this one is an OK starter. Hope this review is honest and helpful to any inquiring customers. Don't let the cons detract you from purchasing this item for the fun of it.

Not a pleasant sound
I guess you get what you pay for. I saw some of these that were really expensive so I was curious. When I saw this one in my price range I decided to try it. It came with a reed and everything, but the plastic was very cheap and the sound was extremely annoying. Even though I play saxophone and clarinet, I found it challenging to get any kind of sound that was pleasant. I should have bought a recorder instead.

Not great
This came missing peaces and never worked. I would've sent it back but my 1yo broke it..... a 1 year old broke it. Let that sink in.

No information
It would be nice if there were any kind of instructions on how to use this. I tried blowing in it and nothing happens. If I can get any information I could possibly leave a better review.
