The Storacell Battery Caddy solves the problem of how to conveniently store your batteries in a compact and easy to find holder. Originally designed for pilots, the Battery Caddy is also great for photography, camping, travel or home use. The Battery Caddy is durable and break resistant and the slim and lightweight design makes it portable. There are no sharp edges to catch on clothing or bags. Storacell's patented locking system snaps batteries into place; batteries snap into place and remove easily. When ready to use, simply push the battery out with your thumb. Keep fresh batteries separate from used batteries by turning them in opposite directions. The Storacell Battery Caddy provides the best terminal protection at both ends. Batteries left rolling around in a drawer, bag or container have the potential to cause a fire. 9V batteries can be a hazard if the double terminal comes in contact with metal objects; an electrical spark can be created causing a fire. The Battery Caddy is great for a variety of uses including outdoor activities, photography bags, emergency kits, by emergency responders and for home organization. Batteries not included.

These things work.
I love this product. Keeps my batteries organized and easy to carry in my lunch/backpack for use at work. I often am on night shift so I go through batteries. Especially the 18650's for my high power flashlights. I keep them button up for freshly charged and when I swap out, the button goes down to indicate "power down" and I rarely make a mistake with that system. I have a few of these in various sizes to keep my batteries from hitting one another or other metal objects and discharging or worse. The battery stays in the holder till you want it out. And it comes out easily, but not without you pushing it out past the nub holding it in.

Ensure That Batteries Retain Their Charge
These battery holders are available in various sizes for diffetent size batteries. They make it easy to grab backup batteries while ensuring that accidental discharges in your pack do not occur. This is because it is extremely difficult to make accidental, simultaneous contact with both positive and negative polls. Using these battery holders practically ensures that you will have a charge when needed. And that makes the rather minimal cost worth the price.

good strong plastic but don't like the lip the holds the battery in
Plastic seems strong but the little corner that holds the battery in at the top is sharp and stiff. I used a nail file to soften it a bit but could see this easily biting through my 18650 covers over time. will continue to use it but highly recommend to file down the pegs on the top inner lip.

Sturdy. Does what it says, but doesn't do what it needs to (no mounting) + costs an arm and a leg for non-ugly color versions.
LET'S START WITH THE BAD...It's merely OK. This will be a bit of a book but if you don't want to know all the details about why I'm rating this down, and my reviews are typically fairly detailed once I've had a good run of examining a product, then don't bother reading further. I will summarize that two of three things I hate about the product have to do with pricing policy in general and for color differentiation and the last is uncountability of the "organizer"t as such:1... OVER PRICED FOR ANY MODEL. Just the most baseline price for this product is too high judging by other similar sized similar material type products on the market. This is gouging because its the only plastic battery holder sold easily found that holds 4 #18650 rechargeables securely together. Lke all of its brother and sister product lines for other types of batteries from this company, its way overpriced for being a piece of injection molded plastic with no moving parts, inlayed parts or real complications to it at all. Yes the quality control on the part seems consistently good at least for the things I've ordered from them BUT it doesn't merit such a high price as it has for what it does which is sit in a drawer all day doing essentially nothing but staying still with batteries in it. Woo hoo. Someone else frustrated with price gouging for dumb plastic mono parts will hopefully soon make knockoffs of these eventually for half or much less I'm certain of it. The reasonable price for the cheapest version of this should be closer to a couple of bucks or $2.50 plus tax max. It'd be different if it held 8 batteries or other battery types two. but it only holds 4 batteries. Not very distinguishing really. Other 4 battery holders for other battery types cost substantially (multiples) less and consume as much or more plastic in fact. This battery holder is obviously optimized by its designers to use the least amount of plastic possible and still maintain a rigid form. Thats fine, but pass the savings onto the consumers instead of being greedy eh?.2. EVEN WORSE THAN AN EXPENSIVE BASE MODEL: FORCING CONSUMERS TO PAY YET EVEN MORE, SOMETIMES MULTIPLES MORE IN PRICE FOR LESS UGLY ITEM COLORS. TERRIBLE PRICE GOUGING FOR NOT ACCEPTING UGLY COLORS OFFERED! Many of the colors offered are somewhat unusual / shall I say ugly? and limiting in choices. Who wants bright orange or puke yellow for example? No-wonder orange is the cheapest! The cool things like camouflage don't appear to exist for this one nor glow in the dark but if they do I'm sure they are nearly 2-3 times more expensive for the same amount of plastic and same number of battery holders. Why price manipulate to force people to buy colors they less than love if price is a consideration for them? Ok, so camouflage might be "Multicolor" and subject to additional costs to make, but glow in the dark can't be that much more expensive than clear or clear than red or orange... really? This kind of nonsense makes consumers want to look elsewhere at products that don't penalize for reasonable choice variations. Unfortunately this company has a stranglehold it seems on providing any kind of battery organizer for this size rechargeable battery. Everyone else seems focused on the old standard alkaline and NiMH batteries only. And again its not a great organizer for the reasons cited here at that. Call it capitalism or the market gets what the market bears ... but I call it elitism.. Only affluent people will care to afford buying the colors they truly like which are probably the same colors most people want.. So why even bother with the ugly colors just sell them all for somewhat less and be nice to the consumer for once eh? You will sell more if you don't play BS price inflation games that insult peoples sense of style or color acceptance.3. UNMOUNTABLE BASICALLY AS IT COMES. What kind of organizer for anything like batteries or tools or things people would want handy access to by attaching to a wall or surface don't have mounting holes or options for mounting? This is one of the rare (fortunately) few that seems completely short sighted that people can mount things or might even want to. Absolutely no good or intentional provisions made in the design for easy attachment to anything. There is no clear way to attach it to a wall or drawer or anything for that matter.. It has no predrilled holes made for attaching it sideways to anything with screws and pre-drilling your own custom holes is out because it looks like putting any screws anywhere into the side in the one place there is enough material to make a decent hold on the back would likely result in the screw ensuring which ever tube it was put it will not hold the battery for it won't leave enough clearance to load one and there isn't enough material to do a sunken type screw. It looks like you could put a shelf under it and screw it down through the bottom of the unit but the shelf can't be metal because thats where the bottom terminal of the battery will touch. Even though it looks like there's enough room for a screw head on the bottom and still allow for insertion, locked holding and removal of the batteries fine even if they have a protection circuit adding height to them, the screw wold have to be low profile pan head type (flat on bottom of head) because any tapered head type made for counter-sinking will obviously bust out the thing piece of plastic edge on the front side of that hole (where the most material of the holder would be in the back side facing away from you for perspective on what's front or back in my opinion.AND NOW FOR SOME GOOD:Those terrible downfalls stated, there is much to like about the excelled quality control which seems top notch for the ones I bought. No burs, no cracks, no missing pieces missing holes (aside from mounting options) and no overruns or extra plastic globs anywhere. Coloration is also very consistent but I didn't order anything other than clear to know if other colors change in hue, milkiness or other coloration qualities for what that's worth.. But the excellent quality should be expected of any product without having to pay twice what the product is really worth jousting by similar sized/uncomplicated plastic mono piece products on the market.SUMMARY:It does what it advertises to do, sure, but not one hair more than that and then the most commonly expected features like mounting holes or brackets for mounting such an oddly shaped un-flat product that should come with a product like this—especially being that it's claiming to be an "organizer" type product as its marketed—are sadly missing. it should not have to be listed explicitly like its an amazing product defining feature as to wether or not it has any provisions for mounting in the common ways one would expect of anything claiming to organize anything, as without such features, the product itself can't be organized amongst other organizers or kept easily attached to its most relevant related products (like keeping it permanently and easily attached to your favorite #18660 charger or charging station or to the box you keep your flashlights in ready to go like you might want to create with the two or all three related items together as such). Sadly its what this product doesn't advertise (lack of mounting options) as much as what it brazenly advertises (ridiculous price manipulating and high price in general) that make it a three star or less item in my book. It's only holding onto the second and third star (barely) because it had no quality control issues to speak of what so ever and seems sturdy built to last a reasonable amount of time. I probably should have dinged it twice on pricing issues because they really are unfairly exaggerated and then some given the kind of uncomplicated single mold plastic part it is, the common cheap material that it is, making it more insulting to price gouge than if it had been made of a fine material in a justifiably more expensive manner like pure precision machined aluminum with an anti-electric and anti-slide rubbery coating in relevant key places for example or say a meaningful feature like a fully enclosed compartment rated to keep water out and float. Something with more thought and more enduring value than just single-function no-features plastic could justify much higher prices, but this.. is just merely plastic with high prices that get higher if you don't want to suffer visual offense of the item upon sight. They don't even attempt to try to hide the shadiness by dubbing an ugly fluorescent color as a "safety feature" or "easy find" feature like I would expect such to do. They brazenly don't justify the price at all.. just balls to the wall shove it out there like it's no big deal to consumers to pay such wildly varying prices for color. And that is what I would call blatant contempt for the consumer and for people on a budget so to speak who merely, reasonably don't want to pay high seas pirates' ransom for their gear to not be looking like a paint sale exploded to say the least!

Strong, reliable battery holder.
These are sturdy and strong. I have cases that broke on day one. These are a thick plastic. It won't break if dropped. It holds button tops and flat top cells alike. All different wraps and types fit well. I have no complaints.

These are great!
Now I have all my batteries stored properly so they don’t discharge against each other. Love their design.

Heavy duty compared to other options.
This battery holder is much more sturdy than my previous one. The batteries are held in tightly & securly. The plastic seems to be much thicker, so I’m not worried about it breaking.
