Super convenient for travel!!!
Used these in Cancun Mexico! Super easy to get on the plane instead of liquid and trust me you don't want to buy the marked up bug spray in Mexico! Also convenient to pop a couple in purse, bag, or carryon. I usually get bit alot but I didn't get one bite on my stay! The trick with these is to NOT unfold the wipe when you take it out of the package!! Open the package take the folded wipe out and rub it on your skin a few strokes WHILE IT'S FOLDED. After a few strokes RUB the liquid from the wipe in until your body is covered. Place the wipe back in the pack!! You can use the wipe for at least 2 applications if you do it this way. If you unfold the wipe it will be done in the first few wipes. These also have 30% DEET which is 5% more than OFF brands! You can smell the Deet but it is not over bearing on your body when you put it on. Every one's skin is different so I did do a small skin test on various parts of my body like arms, legs, and stomach before leaving to make sure I didn't have a bad reaction. This also works well with sunscreen as I applied both to my body everyday in Cancun. I'll actually be using these from now on instead of the spray because I like them so much!!

Easy to pack and very effective against biting bugs!
Mosquitos are love me! I take this when I travel just in case the local bugs like me! The packet slips into my purse or backpack without adding bulk. It's not a liquid in a bottle so it's not a problem going through airport security. It wipes on easily anywhere you want to use it. Note: it leaves hands a bit oily after use and it softens nail polish if you are wearing any. Be sure to wash hands or have handwipes available after use.

Bought Instead of Ben's 100 By Mistake, But Glad I Tried Them for Back Yard Use
I always tell people there is only one insect repellent that works: 7728 ''BENS 100'' INSECT REPELLENT SPRAY PUMP . No matter how mosquito infested your location is, Ben's 100 will keep the bugs off. You don't need to bathe in the stuff; just a stripe or dot here and there will do the job. So when I saw Ben's wipes, of course I jumped at it, but when I opened the package I saw that it was Ben's 30%--which I had never heard of--and thought why not try it. It turns out the 30% works just as well when you're not in a swamp or the middle of the forest at night. If you're in your back yard in the evening, these wipes will give you all the protection you need. The added benefit of Ben's 30% versus Ben's 100 is that the 30% has relatively little scent to it, whereas many complain that Ben's 100 had an unpleasant odor (and trust me, it's even more unpleasant to any bug that would like to bite you, suck your blood, and make you terribly ill. COMPARISON WITH DEEP WOODS OFF: Since I couldn't find Ben's in my local drug store, I did try Deep Woods OFF Repel 100 1 oz Insect Repellent Pump Spray 100% DEET 402000 . Even though the OFF product is 100% Deet, it doesn't 100% work. In fact I wouldn't even say it 30% works in my back yard in Queens much less the deep woods. And it turned out to be as slippery as teflon lube when just a bit of it got on the floor and had to be cleaned up for fear someone was going to slip, fall, and injure themselves on it. I will never try Deep Woods OFF again, but I will use this utterly odorless and non-slippery Ben's 30% for backyard activities and picnics from now on.

Pretty great product - definitely saved me some heartache
Background: I got devoured by mosquitoes on a trip to Mexico in 2009, and the assault on my system was enough to land me in hospital 3 times in a single week. (During the first two visits to different hospitals, my condition was misdiagnosed and I was given the wrong treatments; the third hospital figured out that I had developed an allergy to the mosquitoes). It seems that because I was bitten so many times (over 50 bites), my body went into some sort of shock and ultra-defence mode. As a result, I now have a very heightened sensitivity to all bug bites. With this in mind, I intended to use as many precautions as possible for my recent trip to Hawaii. Here's how I protected myself (I'll discuss Ben's wipes in a moment): STEP 1: Started taking Vitamin B Complex two weeks before departure. I chose one that had huge %RDA of each type of Vitamin B (I think B12 is the most vital), and always took it in the morning because it can cause really awful nightmares if you take it close to bedtime. STEP 2: I sprayed all my holiday clothes with Sawyer's Permethrin Clothing Spray, which I will review separately. (Short answer: it seems to have worked very well.) http://www.amazon.com/Sawyer-SP657-Permethrin-Clothing-Repellent/dp/B001ANQVYU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303674748&sr=8-1 STEP 3: Covered all exposed areas with Ben's deet wipes every day. More specifics on this in a moment. STEP 4: Always had my "Zap It!" clicker tied to my handbag. I can't find these listed on Amazon, but I bought a pack of 4 online for about $30, and they each have about 10,000 clicks. This was one of my great investments! I definitely recommend it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zap-It-Mosquito-Bite-Relief/dp/B0012GMT0A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1303674948&sr=8-2 STEP 5: Kept some antihistamine tablets handy just in case I felt overwhelmed by itching, but luckily I didn't have to take any. STEP 6: I also kept some anti-itch creams at the ready, but the "Zap it!" made them largely unnecessary. (Combined with the fact that the other steps had minimised my bites in the first place) ....So, now that you know my 6-phase plan of assault, back to Ben's 30% Deet Wipes. As bug repellent goes, these are very good. My travel companion got eaten alive, because he wasn't really protecting himself (and hadn't taken part in my patented Six Steps to Mozzie Freedom!). After one particularly bug-infested hike, I had 6 bites and he had about 25. So in terms of a side-by-side experiment, the wipes - in conjunction with my other steps - performed very well. PROS: - I am asthmatic and these didn't aggravate my lungs at all. The odour is pretty low compared to "Off" spray or any others I've tried. - Being wipes, they're super easy to apply. - Having individual packs is SO convenient for hiking. - I think 30% Deet was just right for most of our hikes, but we were beseiged in some rainforesty areas, so I got a handful of bites. - Pretty fair price for a pack with three boxes in it. I have a few left over, even though we were in Hawaii for 2.5 weeks. CONS: - No major cons, but I was always careful to wash my hands after applying because I had read that Deet tends to melt plastic. It did remove my toenail polish whenever I made accidental contact with it. - It's a little greasy, but that didn't bother me. - The main thing that annoyed me was that once in a while, I'd open a sachet and the wipe would be BONE DRY inside. There wasn't even the slightest residue; it was like it had never been treated with Deet. This was a bummer because I was worried about running out of wipes (I ended up over-rationing them, which resulted in a few bites). The occasional "blank" wipe is why I'm knocking off a star. Otherwise these are a very decent product and I'd recommend them for any mosquito situation, including for those of us with allergies. Happy Travels!

Saved my life in Argentina and Uruguay!
My scheduled visit to Argentina, mostly Buenos Aires with side-trips to Tigre, Iguazú, and Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay, coincided with a major mosquito outbreak in the area after record rainfall. I stocked up on Ben's on the basis of Amazon reviews. It worked unbelievably well! The towelettes made it easy to apply the repellent without the bulk of a spray. I could (and did) easily fit one or two in my handbag or backpack. As long as I remembered to apply repellent, mosquitos kept their distance from me. A few times I didn't bother beforehand but then had to take action when I was besieged by mosquitos. This worked like a controlled experiment! Naked limbs -- lots of mosquitos. Put on Ben's -- no mosquitos. ** I can't recommend this product strongly enough. **

Good protection against rampant ticks in the Mid Atlantic
Ticks seems to be worsening every year with the increasingly mild winters in the Mid Atlantic. Found these named on a few Best-Of lists and have used them when I volunteer working with horses on a national seashore in an area rife with ticks. Not going to lie—the smell is strong when I open the foil packet but it does dissipate within a few minutes. I also make sure to shower as soon as I end my day. When I apply the towelette I notice an immediate cessation in flying insects bothering me, including mosquitoes and the nasty biting flies. This stuff may not make you smell nice but I love that the insects and (zero) ticks so far stay away too!

Works Great, but...
Very convenient to carry and use, however leaves a greasy and shiny coating on skin. In addition, after 7 days of use, it the product began to burn my skin after application. While not specific to this product, the deet it contains melted the plastic on my watch, and camera bag. I would use it again, but probably not on a multi day trip.

Super convenient
Love these! These were so perfect for camping and hiking. Just stick one of the packets in your back pocket or your backpack and you’re ready to go. An actual bug spray can takes up so much room and you could literally put one of these in your wallet. I have them in the glove compartment of my car as well for emergencies. Will definitely be ordering more.
