Great little pipe
This is my 3rd cob Missouri Merchum and I love them. Great little affordable pipe, especially for casual pipe smokers like myself. Also priced good enough you dont have to worry about damaging too much.

Great tobacco pipe
Missouri Meerchaum has been making quality corn cob pipes for longer than we've been alive. They smoke great, stay cool, help with tongue bite and don't ghost tobacco to tobacco. Go get one or several. I will smoke toabacco out of nothing else. Their web site has amazing deals as well

Be prepared to order accessories to make your experience a decent one.
First off, this pipe uses 7mm stem filters instead of the common 9mm. You can order the 7mm filters from Breathe here on Amazon, and if you keep scrolling, there are other choices. This pipe is made here in the USA, and is simply constructed. Since the pipe stem protrudes into the bowl, I highly recommend using a screen or metal ball. This will prevent crud from accumulating around the bottom where it will be hard to clean. Also, make sure you let the pipe cool down completely before cleaning it out to prevent cracking the bowl. Corncob is not as enduring as hardwood. But it smokes about as you expect a Corncob to, a bit harsh but still smooth enough to be palatable. It doesn't get too hot, as long as you don't pull it too hard. Tobacco choice of course is key here. Use a cheap tobacco to break it in, then swith to your favorite once it's built up a nice carbon coat. It's a small pipe, so you won't get much of a smoking experience from it, but it fills the bill for a nice moment on the porch at dusk, listening to the night style in.

Practical pipe at it's price point
Dollar for dollar, probably the best smoke you can get. This was my first pipe, and I really liked the amber stem, not to mention how highly MM pipes are regarded by those who smoke them. And admittedly, it is a pretty good pipe, though not quite as nice as briar or meers, but you're not going to touch one of those that's worth smoking for a price like this. Used it at first to smoke cigar clippings, and it managed to do that well, despite the 70% humidity I had kept them at. Only drawbacks are that it has a pretty open-bore airway, which can pull some bits through, the stem is very soft, clenching has really done a number to it, and the metal ring fell off, but it seems it wasn't doing that much to begin with. Bit of corn flavor sometimes at first, but that's not necessarily that bad. I've mudded the bottom up a bit and it's a good smoker, had it not been I wouldn't have the others to compare it to!

Well made for a cob pipe, perfect for aromatic pipe tobacco
Good pipe for aromatics. Don't ghost your briar pipes when whese really decent cobs are so affordable.

Great little pipe for the money!
I bought this pipe to smoke some Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, the same tobacco my grandfather smoked, so that I wouldn’t ghost my “good” briar pipes. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised by how it smokes. The paper filter it came with is not great, but happily it works great with 6mm Savinelli balsa filters. I now like to keep a couple of these cobs on hand to try new tobaccos, but I have one that is dedicated to the Sir Walter Raleigh and it has never let me down. Whether you’re new to pipe smoking or an old hand looking to try a new tobacco without having to worry about ghosting a treasured briar, this little cob won’t let you down! I would suggest adding a 3/4” brass screen, though.

Things to Know
I really enjoy Missouri Meershaum pipes, I have many now. Things to know if you have some trouble with your pipe. If the stem gets too loose and starts to fall out of the shank, put a little warm water on a q-tip and swab it around the inside of the shank, it will absorb the water and the stem will fit. Conversely if the stem is stuck and won't come out, put your pipe in the freezer for a little bit, this will dry out the pipe and the wood will shrink (as well as the normal shrinkage from the cold). If you really enjoy your pipe, visit Vermont Freehand for an acrilic stem, to upgrade your pipe. Those look really nice.

Really nice pipe, but...
Love everything about the pipe, but it came with a cracked bit.. and it really sucks because when I hold it in my mouth I hear it cracking more and more. And it's not worth it to order replacement parts because it cost the same as a new pipe. I assume it wouldn't have came broken if it was packaged in a box or something but it just came in a plastic bag. Love everything about the pipe, but could be packed a little better.

Not bad at all . It a great quality pipe, with great draw. Ive smoke two bowls thru it already of Mr B's Mark twain. Its a well built, burns smoothly and cool, such a great little, lightweight pipe. The 6mm filter is a nice touch. Im really impressed especially for the cost. Why am i spending hundreds on hardwood and briar pipes again? My new favorite.

If you want to start your pipe smoking hobby then this is the best pipe for the price period. You can smoke it everyday as many times as you want unlike a briar pipe which needs rotation. There are other pipes on Amazon but you don’t know which wood has been used and hence for the safer bet the corn cub is the best and safe bet.
