Pets Essential Products K9 Supreme Probiotics for Dogs

I've used this probiotic product, and I believe it does what it says it does. It's similar to another product I've used, and just as good. I can see a big benefit to adding more probiotics to the kibble, even if it says probiotics are already included. When the dog's digestive system is working at an optimal level, then the dog seems to have a better appetite

For those that know the value of probiotics for people, the same is said for our dogs! My little Schnauzer has a sensitive stomach, having digestive issues even though eating quality organic foods. This product corrected her bloody and loose stools. Great customer service when I contacted Pet Essentials with a question. I will definitely be looking at their other products.Update: into week 3 and my dog is so much better~ She gets her K=9 Supreme Probiotics every day! No more loose bowels and no more bloody stools. She seems to feel so much better after using this product. She is frisky, feeling great and that makes me very happy!

I used to use “Angel Eyes” to prevent tear staining on my little Maltese. It worked like a charm - until it didn’t anymore. Discovered it contained a low dose antibiotic and the FDA (or USDA?) cracked down on them. Too bad - because it really, really worked. Nothing else seemed to work until my veg suggested probiotics. I tried another brand that was really expensive and didn’t really seem to be working but a friend told me about this brand. It’s much easier to use (a scoop vs. little packets) and much more affordable. Best thing is that with regular use, no tear staining! And I know this is much better for my dogs than antibiotics, so it’s a win-win!!

Bought this for my dog who suffers from allergies and yeast infections and its made an improvement. It's the second probiotic I have tried and the best one. He seems a lot less itchy and the yeast infection seems improved. Also had a huge benefit when he had to place him on some meds which have caused diarrhea in the past - none this time. His digestive system seems good and his bowels are normal. Has made a big difference in his overall health - he used to lick his paws constently and now has all but stopped. It did take a few weeks to notice these benefits so if you dont' see improvement right away, stick with it for a few weeks.

I got this because my puppy who, after being diagnosed with Giardia (even though she had no symptoms) and having taken her Panacur developed a really bad case of diarrhea. So we had her tested two more times separately and she tested negative both times. I gave her a plain diet of brown rice and boiled hamburg. She was still having some issues with runny doo. It was pretty disappointing. I read somewhere to try Probiotics and it may help regulate. I read a lot of reviews of other brands and finally settled on this one because the one I almost bought a lot of people said their dog ended up in the ER. I definitely didn't want that.This helped a lot. I'm not sure if she was regulating on her own or if this was the miracle cure that we needed because she started to firm up and it was wonderful! I was so excited.The one thing I noticed happening and is making me super nervous is that after I give this to her I notice her paw pads, inside of her ears, and her nose turn red. I couldn't find anything anywhere about this happening to other dogs. I'm hoping it's nothing serious and just her body adjusting to something new. She doesn't seem bothered by it so I've still continued to give her the Probiotic. I give it to her at dinner so I'm there to watch her to make sure she doesn't have an allergic reaction and to make sure she's still acting normal.All that being said, so far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I had originally thought this was a good thing for my baby dog. But after the third purchase of this product, I realized this stuff was making my dog sick. I took the suggestion and put it in the refrigerator to keep it at its freshest, but even this doesn't work. This stuff has had a shorter shelf life every time I've bought it. This list purchase got thrown in the trash before I could use even half of the container. In fact, three days before I threw it in the trash, I kept wondering why she wouldn't eat and smelled her bowl and it smelled putrid! I thought it was the soft food, so I mixed this only with hard, and within 12 hours, the bowl smelled putrid again! Then, I tried soft food only but began thinking it might have been this product. I checked her bowl a few hours later and it smelled worse than a garbage dump, so I decided that was exactly where this product needed to go.What's worse is the entire time my dog was sick and didn't feel up to eating. Thankfully, I figured it out before she ended up at the vet hospital but it is a lesson learned. Do NOT purchase this product if you care about your dog. I was lucky...the next time someone may not be so lucky.

This is my second purchase of this product for our 10 year old Cavalier. He tends to have an irritable tummy so I have to be very careful what I feed him. If you compare the strength with other pet probiotics, this is probably the best. It's very easy to give him. I just sprinkle it on his food and he licks it all up. Pricy but it lasted us over a year.

We adopted an 10 month old German Shepherd with Giardia. After 3 courses of antibiotics we couldn't stop the very loose stools and diarrhea. After some research I realized that the antibiotics also killed all the good bacteria in his digestive tract, sadly something my vet never mentioned. I purchased K9 Supreme Probiotics + Plus which added the good bacteria as well as digestive enzymes to his diet and after 4 days his stools were improving and after a week they were normal. I think the product is great and after several follow ups from Pet Essential Products thanking me for my purchase and if I was satisfied with their product, I was very impressed with the company as well.They left me with the feeling that they value each and every customer and they appreciated my business, something that is lacking in most companies today, so I highly recommend the product and the company.
