Quick fix for gummed up tape
Hey ok so here’s the thing- I now realize that rollers with tiny dots are way better but I still have 3 of these left and they’re cheap. I have other Xfasten double sided tapes and they are fantastic.First off, the other comment that says twist at the end of a strip: yes. Do that, it saves so much hassle. The other thing that happens with these is that the tape on the reel inside slides laterally and attaches to the inside of the housing. The first one I threw away but when the second one did the same thing, I popped it open and put a piece of label paper BACKING between the tape and the housing and it seems to be working fine. The company should be putting a little non-stick disc in there themselves but that ship has sailed.Otherwise, the adhesive itself is great, perfectly sticky for paper filing.

Double-sided scrapbooking tape.
Decent price for scrapbooking double-sided tape. It’s not magic, it’s just like the rest, but terrific price. Sticks on plastic (those magnetic plastic pages) and paper. I had to throw a book together on the fly and it did what I wanted it to do.

Skip this one...honestly!!
I don't review things often, but this item performed so poorly that I felt like I had to review it. And looking at all of the recent reviews, it looks like almost all the reviews in 2023 are 1-2 stars!!First things first - my rollers were very sticky. 5 stars for adhesion. But that's where the praise stops.Upon first rolling the tape, it'll go smoothly. However, the rolling mechanism inside will eventually start to stick and it will become harder to roll. You'll end up using your finger to try and roll the tape out manually. Then because the rolling mechanism inside is harder to move, the glue tape itself will stretch and stop sticking. Basically, the roller stops working and as you move the roller without it rolling inside, your glue tape stretches until it breaks. You'll then have to use your finger to manually move it. If you search other reviews, many people will say you will need to use your finger or manually move the tape along. They are 100% right. The gears/rolling mechanism inside is too weak to roll well.Second complaint is that the tape can also start rolling to one side (the left or right). This is not like the old school white out tape that had teeth in place to hold the roller. This has nothing like that. As a result, 2 of my 4 tapes ended up rolling to the left or right as it was being applied. This messes up the tape itself and makes it unusable. Upon close inspection, it's a flaw with the tape itself. The tape roll inside is uneven and unrolls off-center, resulting in it rolling too much to the left or right as you apply it, and ultimately tangling it.Finally, I was unable to finish a single roll. I had a pretty big project and went through two rolls of Scotch double sided tape after trying to deal with this glue tape roller. Not a single one out of four worked properly until the end. Two started rolling to the side and two became impossible to roll due to the stuck roller mechanism inside. If you're considering this, ignore the positive reviews and stay away. I didn't look at the reviews and saw an overall 4.3 out of 5. Look at the recent reviews and you'll see many people share similar complaints. There is no fix for these issues either. The rolling mechanism will not get better once it starts getting difficult to roll. Nor will you be able to fix the tape rolling to one side. Go to your local crafts store and buy something in-store with a larger roller. I did that today and finished up an entire roll without any of the issues I mentioned above.Almost all of the recent reviews are 1-2 stars, or at least most of the ones I've seen in 2023. I wished I had seen it sooner. But they're not wrong. Skip these!! They are terrible.

Finicky to use correctly
If used correctly, these tape rollers are easier and faster to use than the normal type of tape dispenser that you need to pull the tape and position it by hand. HOWEVER this item can be finicky to use properly, and if you mess up, the tape loop can get pulled too far out of the device with no way to re-tighten the tape. This renders the entire device useless. I had to toss half of mine because they quickly got messed up this way.I haven't quite figured out how to avoid it, but maybe you need to press down harder or go more slowly.Other than that, the tape goes on easily and adheres well. I used these for assembling wedding invitations, and they streamlined the process greatly. Would buy again, but I recommend that you order more than you think you need because some of them will randomly get messed up.

Great quality
I'm saddened that actual scrapbooking seems to be going the way of the Dodo, but I still enjoy it enough to require supplies. This is a good product, and I'm glad it is still available.
