I needed a self-adhesive mounting board for several cross stitch projects I had recently completed. After buying mounting board at a local craft store, I found that it was too thick to fit a double mat in the frame along with my cross stitch and the mounting board. I remembered having used Pres - On mounting board 30 some years ago. A search on the web quickly located it, and the product was as good as it was 30 years ago: great adhesion, which still allowed for re-positioning; thin so it fit nicely in the frame with my cross stitch and double mats, and reasonably priced, with very quick delivery. Five stars for Pres - on mounting board.!

Although this was a pack of 2 boards one board was unusable due to a 1/2 inch wide black line down the middle of the board that was visible when I went to mount my cross stitch project. I can’t return the item cause I had to use the second board and I don’t feel right asking for a refund when I have used 1 of the 2 boards. What I would like is if I could get a 1 board free of charge.

This item worked perfectly for a couple of samplers I was framing. The samplers had differing edges which made it difficult to get them centered correctly in the frame. It was wonderful that it was easy to remove them from the board to re-center which I had to do several times, and the the boards never lost their stickiness to hold the finished product.

This works and the nice thing is you can adjust your cross stitch piece. However, I have read up that it's not the best recommended process for cross stitch mounting as it may not keep the piece tight as it should be over time for framing. Foam core board and pins are a bit better. But this does work and makes it easy.

I like that this board is not too thick. It fits pretty well in the non-custom frames I've bought.It's easy to position and reposition my birth samplers on it. On the last one I realized I had a date wrong but it was easy to unstick the fabric, tear out the wrong date, stitch the correct date in, and replace the fabric on the board.
