5-Pack Westmed #0553 Adult Soft Tipped Comfort Plus Cannula with EarMates Attached and 7' Kink Resistant Tubing

I really like these cannulas with the soft foam tubing attached to them. For a short time, about 10 years ago, my home medical supply company was sending these out, and after using them, I don’t want to go back to the ones without. Unfortunately, the supply company stopped providing these. I was told they “weren’t medically necessary”, and they no longer will carry them, even if I got a note from my doctor that they ARE medically necessary for me, as I was getting a rash and broke skin behind my ears without them. (What, I guess they maybe cost maybe 5 cents per cannula when bought in bulk by the company? I think they’re just being cheap!). I tried other solutions: the foam pieces you attach yourself; cloth tape; Velcro ones that are sold; etc. Nothing works as good as ones like these with them pre-attached. So, I just buy them myself, though I feel I shouldn't have to—just another thing I am forced to buy with my Disability check! It’s worth it to me, however, though I use them for longer than recommended and don’t change them out as often as I probably should, to save money. I do wish they sold them in a larger quantity for a cheaper per cannula price however.

The foam ear pieces make this canula very comfortable. They also support the tubing so it isn't squashed by earmuffs or by turning your head during the night while sleeping. I'd definitely buy them again. The only thing I'd like to see change is for some one to come up with a canula that would allow you to replace only the part that goes around your ears and into your nose and allowed you to re-use the bigger tubing and the foam ear pieces. We throw away way too much plastic and this is an unnecessary contribution to the plastic problem.

This tubing is by far the most comfortable tubing I’ve used. Those who need to wear oxygen, know that the part of tubing that goes over the ear can get rubbed with movement etc…The gray piece that fits/covers the tubing over the is so comfortable and protects your ear from being rubbed. I certainly wouldn’t buy any other type of tubing because of the protection it provides to my ears!

Repeat Purchase. Use most of the day. Very comfortable. Last quite a while before getting dried out & needing to be replaced

I ordered this item once before and liked them so I reordered the same ones but was sent a different brand. These are not nearly as soft on the ears-much lower quality yet charged me the same price. Will not order again. It is like a bait and switch scheme -they send you a good product the first time and cheap garbage after that. Amazon should not have them on their site

The ear pieces are not as soft as the Salter brand.

I GOT TIRED OF MY EARS GETTING RAW FROM THE SOFT PLASTIC CANNULA SO I ORDERED THE ONE'S WITH THE BUILT IN EAR PROTECTOR. I LOVE THEM AND MY EARS FEEL 100% BETTER. VERY C9MFORTABLE. TRIED THE ONE'S THAT YOU FIT OVER YOUR CANNULA BUT DON'T STAY ON. THE BUILT IN PROTECTORS ARE WONDERFUL.
