Solid locker
I put this in a Ford 8.8 axle I put in my jeep TJ. I have used it several times off road and it works period. Road manners are good. It does make a little noise as it ratchets on turns but it is expected. It is a mechanical locker after all. I drive the Jeep every day and have no issues or regrets on the install. A locker is the only way to go for maximum traction and this one is a very good choice.Update; my jeep has out grown the 8.8 rear axle now. I am running 38 inch tires and wheel hard at least twice a month . I broke 4 axle shafts since the 38 inch tires have been on the jeep but the locker keeps on going! I am building a Dana 60 to replace the 8.8 with and will be using the Yukon Grizzly locker in it for sure. Great product!

Quiet and locks up - like it should
It only took the normal break-in of the gears to quiet it down and now I don't even know it's back there. You do have to adjust your driving habit a little as it is alway ready for the throttle to call it into action. Smooth transition from lock to unlock and vice versa. Definitely worth the money. I install called this in my 2004 Jeep LJ rear Dana 44.

Will definitely lock up those rear axles.
Easy to install in my 2005 Silverado 2wd. Before it was an open diff. Now it locks up both axles hard. It is not for the faint of heart, it makes locker noises. Under light pedal it is fairly unlocked. Your tire noise will let you know when it is locked up.

Works great in long bed extended cab Chevy
I installed this myself following instructions online. I re-used my gears and the pinion bearings were in good shape, so this was a quick job. In total it was about 6-7 hours without any air tools. Using new bearings and borrowing a press also saved time. Since the old diff was a G80 I had to buy an open carrier separately (sprung for Yukon carrier and was not disappointed). I was worried about road manners in tight curves but so far I have no complaints at all. It seems like the locker allows the outside wheel to ratchet. There is a soft clicking noise but no tire skipping so far. I think this will be a big help in the snow and on forest service roads.

Do it yesterday for the skids
Not a lot of walk and hop in the rear end in forward or reverse. It definitely will lock up and let you break tires free very easy when it does though you will slide. Easy install used new carrier bearings it was tight though had to help it with a 2x4. You will need to press the new carrier bearings on.

I will buy another. Very happy with this one
This is my first Grizzly locker. I am really happy with it so far. Feels a bit better than a standard Detroit soft lock. I have run a dozen or so different lockers over the years and so far this is my favorite. Ran a indicator on it before I put the gears on it as it runs out less than a thou. Got a couple wheeling trips on this one and works great.

great for daily use, and amazing performance offload
I run this locker in my 1991 Toyota pickup's rear axle, its ifs with a 4" lift on 33's, and open front diff. This truck is my daily, and I also beat the snot out of it on the weekends. Around town I hardly notice the locker is there, the only time it chirps tires is when you punch it in a corner. offload it works amazing, it takes the truck to a whole new level. I Would recommend using 4 high well driving on snowy or icy roads.

Speed differences while turning
10.5 corporate 14 full float, in a C20, 5 speed cummins, when turning corners, slowly without stupidity, it unlocks (or does something) and the truck lurches a bit, and slows down, makes it difficult to navigate a smooth corner. Been like this since install (2017), I imagine you would never feel this with an automatic.professional install too. It's just the way it locks and unlocks........

has a little slop in it
shifting into forward or reverse you feel the slop in it.other then that it works great.super quiet on the turns and yet full traction.if it didnt have the slop in the shift i would give it a 5 out of 5

Sloppy locker
Adds a lot of drive train slop ( forward-reverse) Makes a lot of mechanical noise. Lots of wheel hop when Applying traction. You can really feel it locking and unlocking at any speed. It’s installed in a corporate 14 bolt full floater 2wd.
