Maytag washer was making a grinding noise. Tilted the machine back and found out the pump was making the noise very easy replacement.

I've only had it on my washer for about a week and a half but I've already done 10 loads and not had a problem. We'll see 6 months from now down the road I didn't want to spend the extra money for a factory original because I wasn't sure that the motor was good on my washer "the original pump was completely frozen so I wasn't sure the electric motor was in a good" I thought maybe it had burned out the motor also but nope the motor was still good. If it doesn't last long I'll go with the factory original because of the work that was involved. The whole thing took me about 1 1/2 hours with no real previous knowledge of replacing the pump but a good working knowledge of mechanics in general. YouTube will provide you with a number of people that will walk you through replacing it. I highly recommend replacing the belt underneath the washer while you're at it you might as well as they can be bought for under $10.

The product was a perfect replacement for the washing machine.The washing machine would not spin, and made a grinding noise trying. I watched a video on the web to show how to replace the water pump and it was pretty easy.You might as well replace the belt when swapping the pump as you have to take off the belt anyway. Once flipped over and belt off, you can try to turn the water pump gear/pully. Mine barely turned (I think they are supposed to spin pretty easily) so I knew the water pump was toast.Careful, water will come out when you undo the water pump hoses...

It's been just about a year since i installed this and it's still working great. Nothing special i guess.. i mean it's a pump. It works, isn't loud or anything... Kept my old washer going now for another year. Cant complain!! And the price is definitely right!

My pump on my Maytag Atlantis washer went out, and needed a replacement quickly. Not only was this product cheaper than it's competitors, it was available for Prime shipping, so I gave it a shot. Product showed up quickly. It looks to be exact duplicate of the OEM pump except the base is black instead of chrome. Fit perfectly into the washer after about 20 mins of work, and has successfully done several loads of clothes already. Couldn't be happier, will keep and eye on it to make sure no leaks tho, just like you should any aftermarket repair part.

This drain pump was for my Maytag washer. I had doubt at first about buying it because it was such a good price compared to other appliance websites! My grandson took the old one off and installed the new one in 15 minutes!

High quality product. It arrived a couple of weeks sooner than the expected delivery date. Packing could have been a little better but the product is rather durable to withstand shipping. The product arrived undamaged. I was able to install it no problem. It fits perfectly into my Maytag Performa washer. I don't know the exact model, but it's definitely an old machine. As another review said, the pump is slightly higher friction than the old pump, but mine drains just fine. Make sure your motor drive wheel is clean and isn't slipping when driving the belt. If it's slipping you may need a new drive belt. I highly recommend this product if your pump has failed or is failing.

I highly recommend this replacement part.I have had it installed and operational for a few weeks now in a Maytag Performa.Laundry of some sort has been done about every second day, and it has been performing flawlessly.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the material and the part itself.

First with the good: the part fit no problem on the mounting holes and on the hoses.For the bad: the part has higher friction than the original part so the washing machine doesn't spin as fast so it doesn't drain properly and the clothes are still wet at the end of the spin cycle.Too bad because otherwise the price is right.
