I see no excuse for how badly this item was packed. It arrived with every corner mashed & broken. The shelf is unusable for its original purpose, but I'm using it for other needs rather than returning it. I ordered a set of four several weeks ago & they were perfect. I had assumed this product was packed better than some others. Apparently not.

Arrived in good shape despite the Fedex drivers best efforts to break it, as the driver just careless pitched the box over the fence onto a wet cement sidewalk instead of making the effort to take it to the porch, but that's not the sellers fault. But seriously, Fedex is terrible.

Mine arrived packaged well and in perfect condition. I was surprised to receive a box containing two shelves but I'm sure I'll find a good use for the extra one. I'm using it across the lower frame members of my 40" high computer desk so I can set a TV on it and have both computer and TV in one footprint. The shelf is weighty as all laminated particleboard things are. And it's finished on both sides and all four edges.
