Perfect Big Bands - Best Bands of the 30s & 40s

If you are interested in the big bands of days gone bye then this cd is a must....from the early Tommy Dorsey/Frank Sinatra to the majestic Ella Fitzgerald and her famous orchestra."Big Bands" delivers all that was great about the 30's and 40's jazz scene with the added bonus of featuring singers the likes of Peggy Lee - Helen O'Connell and the Clooney Sisters.....i'm in my late 60's and grew up listening to a varied selection of music from my era thru to my childrens and on to my grandchildrens but for the likes of me i cant understand why the music portrayed on this amazing cd fell by the wayside...jazz is still out there but never will we see or hear the likes of these giants again - so - do i think you should get "Big Bands"?............Ahhh c'mon....Yes Yes Yes!

I bought this as a gift for someone in their 90's they said it was very good and brought back memories.
