Rinse Ace Deluxe Pet Shower Sprayer with 8 Foot Hose and Showerhead Attachment

I've used this for 6 years with my young children in a shower tub combo, and It. Is. Amazing. I buy it now as a baby shower gift to the new parents. You can control the on and off at the wand head, it can be locked on for easy use, and it's got a super long plastic hose that reaches every part of the shower to clean a kid OR the shower cleaning. ALSO, its long enough to reach my nearby toilet to rinse off yucky undies if needed. It's been yanked on, used atleast every other day, and attached/detached endlessly for 6 years. Awesome product. I'd buy again and again. Perfect.

I was in need of a pet shower for my my 40 pound mutt and was unable to find anything that would fit over my tub spout that worked. I purchased this after reading the reviews and I liked the idea of having a shower head that I could take to the dog! The hookup was not overly difficult it is just a matter of taking the current shower head, putting some fresh Teflon tape to the threads, screwing the adapter to the pipe and putting the shower head back on (after adding some more of the included Teflon tape to the exposed threads). After you assemble the shower back together, you just plug the hose to the adapter and you are ready to go! Do note that the hose has a couple of tabs that line up on the adapter, give it a little push and give it a slight turn to lock it into place. Once you have your hand shower in place it is perfect for getting your animal clean! I guess you can use it for yourself too! Just no pulsating jets which is a shame. The shower head has a push button to spray and a little metal piece you can put in place if you do not want to depress the button all the time. Once you are done, to remove, push it in and twist back the opposite way. It does take a bit of hand strength to insert/take out but it is not too bad. I drape the hose over the shower head to let it dry. It never seems to drain all the way out but it is not too bad. Overall I really like this product, it was not overly difficult to put the adapter in but it does take a bit of coordination to insert the hose. I give this a highly recommend if you have dogs/animals that are too big to stick under the tub spout to clean. Quality seems to be good and so far have no concerns about it. If anything changes I will be sure to mention.

The key to this product working is the water-diverter device which attaches between your shower's water supply and your shower head. This diverter device is poorly designed, cheaply made, hard to use, and in my case - very defective. The idea is that the sprayer hose is detachable from the diverter so that, after you wash your pet, you can return to using your shower for showering and not have this long hose in your way all the time. Also the water is supposed to come out of either one diverter hole or the other -- i.e. out the sprayer, or out your shower head, but not both at the same time. In fact, by design you must remove the sprayer hose in order to take a shower; so it's not like you can just leave it on and put up with it dangling there. But the very first time I detached the sprayer hose, the water did not return to its normal path of coming out the shower head, but rather continued to come out the opening where the sprayer hose attaches - thus spraying water all over me and my bathroom. (Go ahead, laugh.) No matter what I did -- and I am a handyman by trade -- I could not get the water diverter mechanism to return the water to coming back out the shower head. So I took the thing off, tapped it gently on a hard surface, and after some monkeying with it, got it to return to normal. Then I reinstalled it and tested it. Not only did it immediately stick again in the water-diverted position, but now water was also partially coming (leaking) out the shower head -- i.e. out of both openings. This thing is cr^p. I strongly recommend against purchasing it.

Very well made, nice spray pattern. Excellent for bathing the dog.One thing I thought was not clear in the product information: this DOES include a water diverter valve. It is built into the device you install between the shower head and the water supply line coming out of the wall. When the pet sprayer hose is attached to the device, it diverts the water flow to the pet sprayer unit. When the pet sprayer is disconnected, water flows to the shower head for normal use. The hose for the pet sprayer only requires you push it in and give it a partial turn to connect it.A tip: best to drain water out of the pet sprayer hose when it will be disconnected and stored between uses.

Just installed it and it seems to work well. I agree that the diverted is flimsy but BEWARE. Amazon shows that other people bought a separate diverter because of this issue. So I did the same. However, the way this product works, you MUST use their diverter because of the quick release hookup (unless someone else has figured out a way around that).Save yourself the $15 and just use lots of plumber tape to prevent any leaks with the supplied diverter.

This is the second one of these I've owned in the last 15 years. The first one was thrown out when my last dog died. I had it for 10+ years and it was great. This new one is made exactly the same and will last a long time. The only difference is the new metal tab thingy that will allow the water to be constantly on. I love that the water is off by default so I can just drop the handle to scrub the dog. Other excellent feature is the quick release so you can take this on and off with ease.Install was easy. I did it with just my hands. No need to use a wrench at all.

This is one of the best pet products I have ever owned! It makes bath time a breeze, even with my stubborn pup who likes to sit at the back of the tub and not come near the water. I love that you can turn the water off and on easily, and I especially love the locking mechanism to keep the water on without holding down the button. It was easy for my husband to install and looks great with our shower head. I love that you can easily take it down and store it away when not in use.
