Bought this a few month ago, started a fitness program. Am by no means a fitness geek, starting exercise after years of neglect. So with this item i started on low setting , mainly 6-8 on the dial for the first month or soo. After a few month of training my strength got better through other means and regular exercise, eventually turning this up to 12-14 on the dial, and after a few weeks on this setting the chrome bars started to show strain. And this morning it failed, snapping a bolt. So my advise for anyone thinking of getting one. The dial my show up to 20, but it will never be able to cope with regular use beyond 12, without it stressing the steel and WILL eventually fail. Am by no means heavy handed, i take my time in exercise. So now i know to avoid these things. there a gimmick. Its free weights from now on.

The device is strong and fells like it will last a long time but sadly unlike a spring powered device offers no resistance when releasing your grip the piston based mechanism offers plenty of resistance when pushing in with allot of force but will also close slowly even when hardly being pushed at all so while I do like it and will keep using it until I find a better alternative spring based resistance mechanisms are better for strength and toning.

Simplicity of use, power setting simple to set, all round really good device.

The product is very good and will definitely develop strength...... the only down side is that when I purchased the item it was £41. Today when it was delivered the item is now £31........ go figure....

I’ve had plenty of body building weights and machines before. For your upper body this is a great compact, durable, well constructed, easy to use machine. The adjuster is easy to use.
