Pretty Good
As the heading states, it's a pretty good book. The only complaint I have is that there is no break in paragraphs when changing characters. This could be because it's an ebook , but it made reading it a little confusing and annoying. Also there are some spelling errors that are again the result of being an ebook.

FINALLY!
I came across this book in 1994, in a box of discarded books, but three chapters were missing because the book binding had rotted. I went on reading other books, and overtime the thought of the "Doctors" faded. Until, a few months ago (and 30 years later) but I couldn't remember the author or the book cover. Then I took a chance and searched "Doctors, fiction, novel", and there it was, the last hardback copy, with all 56 chapters in pristine condition. Now, I can finally find out what happened to the young doctors. It's a good read!

one of the best books I have ever read
Love this book and the others written by the same author. He is brilliant. I read these books years ago and am rereading them now. I have hard copies of them but chose to read them on Kindle this time and at times will listen to them which is enjoyable.

Oldie but goodie
Loved that history of the time frame was included. Easy read and most informative of medical education. Too bad the author is no longer with us.

Good story, unfortunate editing on Kindle
While I enjoyed this third of Dr Segal's books, I'vve read, I found the editing disconcerting. While in the middle of a situation, the story makes abrupt changes to another set of characters without so much as a paragraph break, much less a sub-chapter. There were several typos as well, usually just the omission of a single letter of a word. Just before this novel, I had finished "The Class" which prompted another of Segals books. Having been a research scientist with several publications, I never experienced the cut-throat tactics described among co=researchers which were described. That said, I did enjoy the various lives and interactions presented.

Medicine big-time
This medical story is an extremely clever amalgam of the 'fictitious' lives of a set of medical students working their way through their studies into their professional status and the 'reality' of real-life medicine. A great book. I hope that there's a sequel!

In general good
Pretty good reading up to the 2/3 of th book but at the last 1/3 everything is kind of moving fast and a bit shallow, like the author transform to a screen script.

Another master piece from the author of Love Story
Doctors is the story of several doctors, batch mates who graduated from the legendary Harvard School of Medicine. The author graphically describes the arduous journey of a student of medicine before he or she is finally ready to practice. Over and above that, Doctors is a love story, the story of two remarkable individuals who were destined to be together. A not too be missed novel.

Has not translated well to Kindle
I’m really struggling with this book. Having read all of the excellent reviews I’m thinking it hasn’t translated well to e reader. The whole thing is like one long prose and jumps between characters and timelines without warning. It’s extremely confusing and hard to follow. Maybe the publishers need to take a look. It’s so disappointing as it’s ruining the entire experience. I’m only at 30% and considering giving up.

Doctors
One of the best books I've ever read! in fact going to read it third time now. The book is for everyone really, you don't have to be a medical student, or a doctor. It gives a true inside into the profession. And if you're toying with the medicine idea, give it a go, it will shed a lot of light what will be ahead of you.Simply put, amazingly well written book. Barney & Laura love story is one thing, but Segal got really inside people's lives, how they struggle all the way - either during the study, or then during their medical profession.
