Simple to use to make your power tool safe
Works great

Sturdy, uses plug-in cords (not hardwire), no real power limit.
This switch works very well. Originally 40 bucks, Ive seen it for 20 during black Friday and 30 currently. This is one of the very few such switches I have found that has actual PLUG INS. Basically you plug this into your socket or extension cord, then from this switch to your device. Most are actual switches that you have to wire up.This one is also good because it does not have any power limitations. Its 15 Amp, 1875 Watt UNLIKE all the remote-controlled versions. Not only are they power limited but also die with bigger motors that pull a lot of startup current. I guess they use solid state switches instead of a straight up mechanical switch. Dinky ones at that.SO if you want to use this for your Router or table saw or vacuum,, this is the way to go. The cheap-o remote controlled ones WILL die on you... I already had one bite the dust within 30 days, when you exceed their rather pathetic specs (like a 1/4 HP motor max or some such).

PLUG AND PLAY! Short mounting screws
Easy to set up pretty straightforward! Plug and play. Only issue is that the mounting screws are incredibly short. After the lock washer the nut only bites down on a few threads. Ran to my local hardware store to buy longer screws.

Excellent feel on the on/off buttons ....
I bought/used the switch for my table saw and it was easy to install. But the best part is the smooth operation of the buttons. Many other models out there feel rough in comparison. The "On" button is adequately guarded so you can't accidentally turn it on, but it feels easy to operate when deliberately pressed. The "Off/Stop" button shuts off the operation with a very soft touch. If you place the switch in the right spot you can press against it lightly with any part of your body to stop the operation. I have mine installed between waist and knee height and I can very easily operate it with my leg if need be without having to take my hands off of the work piece.I bought a second one for my router table.

Cannot give it 6 stars
I cant give this 6 stars but, the image of this paddle switch and the description do not make justice. I thought I was purchasing something similar to my cabinet saw switch - this switch is considerably larger. the stop paddle is pretty large, you cannot miss it. it is heavy, the plastic enclosure which is sealed is heavy itself. the wires are marked as 14Ga. it is a rubber style flexible wire. One has the male end (for the outlet) the other has a female end (for the tool) however, I will be cutting it off since I am connecting a motor inside the motor connection box with wire nuts.It attaches with 2 machinery bolts & nuts (which are also included). I will be using wood screws anyways.I was not expecting this switch to be so heavy duty but I guess being sold by Rockler it is fully intended to be used for woodworking machinery so its the right one. thanks

Buy this One!!
I mounted this switch to replace the broken one on my old Sears 103 table saw. Saw plugs into the bottom plug on the switch the switch to wall. Why did I wait so long to do this! The Stop button makes it easy to find and stop the saw even while concentrating on the panels I just ripped. Get this one! Heavy gauge cord to wall. No loss of power from small gauge wire here.

It is worth it....
First of all, the delivery was incredibly quick. I ordered over the weekend and had delivery on Tuesday.I was considering a less expensive switch and would have saved about $10. But I'm glad I went with the Rockler switch. The other switch would have required buying an electrical box, screws, and so on. So the difference really wasn't $10 between the two switches. Now here is the key. Installation was a breeze. It took me about 10 minutes. All I had to do was drill two holes and mount the switch. My saw's motor plugged directly into the new switch. The switch works great and solved the safety issue I was concerned with. Now it is very easy to turn my table saw off with a simple knee movement.

Works perfect for my baby band saw, no loss-of-power cutoff though
I bought this to mount on the SWAG Portaband table for my bandsaw. I used zip ties to hold the saw trigger down and used this power switch to turn the saw on. I took the big stop sign off, it is easy to snap off and on.The main reason I went for this was its no-fuss construction: plug the tool in one end and plug the other end into the wall outlet.I didn't want to drill mounting holes, so I used heavy duty double-sided foam tape from 3M to secure it in place. My only gripe is that for this price I had hoped that it would have a magnetic power cutoff feature, so on loss of power the tool wouldn't restart--cheaper models have this feature, so it would have been nice.
