Wonderful Book
As a counselor, I liked how practical and down to earth this book was. Author is so relatable, and the book itself is very empowering. Highly recommend.

You need this if you have an estranged child
I have been struggling to get past the fact that my adult daughter does not talk to me anymore. Since I do not know why, I have been beating myself up. Instead of focusing on what could I have done, this book is helping me move past the blame into acceptance. I am slowly learning that I need to live my life and not put it on hold for things I am unable to control. If you know, you know.

Helping me understand and move foward.
This book is packed with alot of different types if relationship stories by other mothers as well as the author . Extremely Relatable. Makes me understand my situation and know I'm not the only one. I have the workbook as well and I'm currently working on through. The excersizes are also in the book so I sent the book to my GF out of state going through the same thing as myself with one of her children. I find the author to be authentic and to put something as personal as this is a huge thing for someone to do . I applaud her bravery and the other mothers. When you have a child not want a relationship with you and to attack you as a parent makes me feel like the worst mother undeserving of love, respect or the tittle of mom . I have a good relationship with 2 of my children. I do wish the book touched on divorce with older children. I found the book to be extremely helpful. The workbook is helping me work through and understand things. These things are also in the book itself. I do highly recommend the book as it puts alot of things in perspective. Recommend. I bought the book used and it was in perfect condition. When I finished the book I immediately sent it to my GF. So yes I highly recommend this book and do the excersizes in the book . This really helps you to understand, learn things you didn't know before. Has helped me to accept and move foward in my life keeping my relationships with my other 2 children strong and understanding my one child's perspective. People writting we as mothers are failures have no clue what goes on in anothers life. Self projecting their own pain onto women and men looking for help to understand and to help heal and in my case move on with my life and be understanding of my child's decision.

Excellent Resource Outstanding !
By far one of the best read to date. Sherry does not pull any punches but encourages us all to remember we can only control our own behavior and to move forward with love and compassion. The community of “achy breaky hearts “.is a game changer and is a reminder to all how fragile life can be ! History cannot be changed. But our spirit and compassion is ours to own. Thank you all!

I like the title, but I don’t think I’ll ever be done with the crying
A sudden disconnect from family for reasons I don’t understand, and they don’t wish to discuss. This book does help me help myself. I can’t make anyone else do anything they don’t want.

Duplicate
This is just a duplicate of the book. It may have been my fault by not reading the description. I’m not sure it the description described it as such. The book just has more space to write. This would be a good book for someone who wants to share the actual book. I was hoping for more in depth for a group help class.

Very Helpful
I have found this book to be incredibly helpful. I was having such a difficult time with my daughter and using this workbook really helped me get out some of the emotions and it's nice to be able to reflect back when I need a little more support.

"Life Changing"
I'm glad to say that I found this workbook, used with the book, life changing tooIt isn't a phrase that I use lightly, but I have to say that it has helped me to move on from the misery, and the ruined self esteem and happiness that are part of being a rejected parent. The book is full of vital information, help, and insights, and the workbook helps to make it all personal....a very powerful form of "journalling", I suppose.I love the design of the cover, too- so attractive, appropriate, and inspiring.Wishing other rejected parents luck with these vital tools.

(Workbook) Emotionally, too difficult for me.
Workbook arrived today. One quick look and I knew this is most definitely not for me - at least not without my hand being held by a therapist. It could put me over the edge I am holding onto. (I will read the book "Done with the Crying", just cannot bear the Workbook.)A lot of painful work to put on paper things you wouldn't want your child to ever read. This would be a more difficult experience for me, than all the therapy I am going through and have gone through. I need some spend leisure time to me escape my pain. Reliving all this would cause me, personally, too much more suffering. I'm not strong enough. Returned.
