An excellent overview of Austrain experimental film

Film Unframed covers almost the entire history of Austrian experimental film. The first chapter is a lengthy overview of the post-war generations up until the 2010s. Each chapter after focuses on an individual director. Its a very dense read but if you’re familiar with the work of Peter Kubelka, Peter Tscherkassky, or Martin Arnold you’ll find even more directors and artists to check out.
